Has anyone put their central heating on yet?

Home Bargains £6.75 a bag, B&M 8.75 and Quality Save £6.49 for a bag of kiln dried logs. Was £4 last year!
Builders bag of kiln dried ash £145 few months ago. Now £220. Seasoned stuff is cheaper but that has gone from £80 to £110 and doesnt burn as well. Does the job though but not good for the flue if its all shit

How much are you guys spending at the moment?

Our smart meter is saying about £6 per day for everything (electric and gas).

About £300 a month, dual fuel with e-on. But we do have the heating on most of the day and the missus is forever washing stuff.

I've been monitoring usage via an app that reads our smart meter. It's gas that is the pig. Electricity is about double the price, gas is ten times more expensive than it was. Unbelievable.

Coldest day yet , an hour is not enough but it has to do , the kitchen and bathroom are the killers and leaving kitchen door open for mr merlin , feel my old boiler is struggling a bit , at least it is warm getting up , gas is pricey but less than electric for heating ?

yeah leccy is a killer.

UNLESS you know someone who does GROWS

Going to be frabs this coming week!

Put your blankets in the airing cupboard or over the radiators so when the heating goes off you can wrap yourself in a warm blanket.

October bill for Gas and Electric = £85.
November bill for Gas and Electric = £128.
I suspect December and January may both touch £150,

Given that I am paying £154 a month and the Government top up another £67, it should mean my credit still increases by around £70 a month so I really can't complain.
