Has anyone put their central heating on yet?

Unless you have a long-term illness or disability, keep the fucking heating off. A lot of soft people waiting to buckle at the first hurdle. There's people in actual cold war-torn countries sat about in a cardigan putting up with it.

I'm not willing to line the pockets of scummy cunts. Plus I hope to have a holiday next year so I'll just wear a jacket inside.
 
Had a bracing walk up and down my garden first thing and it felt extra warm indoors when i came back in , changed the heating to hour and half in the morning

Bleeding radiators is something everyone should do routinely. I do mine at least once a week or so at start of winter use and at least once a month during winter. Helps with efficient operation
 
I have it on for an hour or so most days at moment and gas fire on all day. I have a sister with MS and no matter what the damn bills are I will not have her lay or sat in the cold. She has no mobility and we can only get her out of bed or into bed with a hoist. Sod whoever it is who are exploiting us with the extortionate bills.

My wife has ms and her lack of mobility makes her feel the cold.we have a smart meter and she is constantly worried about how much we use. My attitude is like yours , fuck it you shouldn’t have to sit in your own house freezing cold
 
Hopefully the government will enforce better insulating regulations for new homes. Sad for people only putting heating on for an hour or two a day but with no insulation the heat leaves about as fast as it comes in
 
The country needs to stop diverting money to other countries and start pumping it into the uk because we are on the edge of the worst crisis this country has ever seen .
 
There’s gonna be riots soon. People are literally freezing and starving in their own homes in 2022 for f*ck sake. How has this country become such a mess
