How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

Did you need a resident visa to get a one way flight, or you on a Australian or NZ passport?
We had a 3 year temporary residence visa, my partner is a software engineer and that job was on the skills shortage list, they applied for a job with a software company and we were able to get visas through that. We had an application for permanent residency ongoing and that was approved 5 months after we arrived. Any non residency visa needs a return ticket iirc before you can enter the country.

Must be a ball ache getting to the Etihad mate.

Yeah I gave up my season ticket in peps first season, sometimes you have to sacrifice the 2 hours of happiness it gave me every week for a more rounded enjoyable life. The real ball ache is pulling yourself out of bed at 2 and 4 am to watch games and ruining the rest of the weekend.

Those whom you would not normally view as a **** but voted for brexit must surely be regarded as someone who had, albeit a very short, episode of ‘cuntness’ during the act of voting.
Sadly, the ‘cuntness’ not normally associated with these people coincided with the vote.
In view of the result of the ballot however, I for one am not minded to forgive ‘cuntness’ no matter how temporary in this regard.
Even the briefest attack of ‘cuntness’ can have seriously long-term effects.

That makes me a c*nt then. ;-)

TBH I’m not bothered if you and your remain c*nts who populate this thread think I’m a c*nt.

The president of the European Parliament has warned that "European democracy is under attack", following allegations that Qatar bribed EU officials to win influence.

Roberta Metsola said that "open, free, democratic societies are under attack".

Brexit is an unmitigated poor decision. No advantage whatsoever in any field of life. An Eton debating society ideological turd.

It’s actually quite sad that some Brexiteers have resorted to using scandals amongst a few corrupt EU politicians as vindication for their Brexit stance in spite of the ongoing disaster unfolding as our economy falls further and further behind its peers.
Whatever makes you happy.

Can't see Qatar stooping to the level of bribing folk to get what they want tbh.

Your contempt of forriners is only matched by your blase indifference to the pain you are willing to inflict on your fellow countrymen, yep, you're a **** alright.

****.

My brother played the ‘we didn’t get the Brexit we voted for' line to me a few months ago. I had to remind him he didn't vote for any particular type of Brexit just a stay in or leave the EU.

He fucking trusted the politicians would deliver the type of Brexit he imagined or thought he'd been promised. In my view it's been nothing but a car crash

They know what sort of Brexit they voted for ..... unfortunately for them neither Patel nor Braverman have been able to deliver it because of those pesky international laws the UK is signed up to.

So go on then: What are the Brexit benefits?

It's just Custard's last stand, and the final defence is a few flans launched in the direction of economic and social reality: we have decimated our economy and our freedoms, for no gain, and the last defences are, frankly, embarrassing.

Good lad for being honest. Its no wonder that loads voted for it when you have years of poison and vitriol being dripped into the populace ear on a 24 x 7 x 52 basis by our billionaire owning right wing press.

The EU is far from perfect but no amount of whataboutery will change the facts that the UK was far better in it than out of it. Their crooked politicians are mere amateurs compared to ours.

ps. I dont think your a C*nt just wrong on this matter.

Even odder when we have prime ministers who put people in Parliament because they give bribes.

If you lived around here, the heart of leave country, the only reason we left was because of 'forinners'. Even today you only have to hear the evil rhetoric over these 'forinners' in hotel's to realise that if we had another vote today they are quite happy to vote the same way even though it has shown to be the disaster it has been. They would rather see the country go to the wall than change their minds.

No idea, but when he posts in other threads he still uses the same turns of phrase
The Bloviator was totally inarticulate. Used to come on here at weird hours and answer post after post from the day before in awful, clunky, witless English. Daft as a brush but with a weird arrogance: a walking Dunning Kruger Graph.
Kudos to whoever came up with Bloviator!

For new readers, here's how he responded to a question in one of my posts:

You are simply repeating a nonsense question with:

"Question then: will the benefit of a bit more trade with the Pacific outweigh the loss of trade with the EU?"

It is not a issue of comparing 2 blocs and deciding between them - that is just the narrative/discussion that you want to make it
