Is there a certain age when this occurs? I'm mid 40s now and would say I've gone from being a bit on the right with some of my views as a kid to now appreciating that there's loads far worse off than me who face many struggles and I've become far more empathetic when it used to be all about me.And there’s nothing wrong with that neither. It’s just a natural part of maturing and earning more money as some people go through life and the struggles you may have faced at 18 when you first go to uni start to become a distant memory.
And being more right-wing doesn’t mean that you’re a Tory. You can hold right-wing views and disagree with everything the current Tories do and say.
And being more right-wing doesn’t mean that you’re a racist. Even being anti-immigration doesn’t mean you’re a racist.
And being more right-wing doesn’t mean that you’re a ‘gammon’ (what a stupid word uttered by sad bastards that it!).
And being more right-wing doesn’t mean that you’re FAR right-wing (because too many on the left conflate those two things, much like the right conflate being left wing with being liberal).
It also doesn’t change anything about you as an individual if you’ve moved along the political spectrum to the right a bit.
I’d probably describe myself as just to the left of centre with some right-wing views these days. Whereas when I was 18 I was probably just to the right of being a socialist. I’d maybe even describe myself as apolitical or someone who lies somewhere along every point of the political spectrum depending on the point being talked about.
I'm the opposite, mid 30s now and have gone from being full blown left wing to, let's say still left economically but closer to centre and fairly conservative socially. Is there a certain age when this occurs? Id say I'm left thinking these days on most social issues.
You bored and after a bit of attention, mate? You need a cuddle?VAR is better for the game than officials on the pitch not having a clue whats going on

I think close to the centre is a fair and balanced approach to things. Lurching too far to the left or right doesn't end well.I'm the opposite, mid 30s now and have gone from being full blown left wing to, let's say still left economically but closer to centre and fairly conservative socially.
Is that a no to the cuddle then? It's a unpopular opinion in the unpopular opinion thread ya moron
Absolutely mateI think close to the centre is a fair and balanced approach to things. Lurching too far to the left or right doesn't end well.
Not on a Saturday night it doesn't anyway.I think close to the centre is a fair and balanced approach to things. Lurching too far to the left or right doesn't end well.
Bastard.I was on about the **** that plays for Denmark
Bloody hell, well said and probably describes me actually. And there’s nothing wrong with that neither. It’s just a natural part of maturing and earning more money as some people go through life and the struggles you may have faced at 18 when you first go to uni start to become a distant memory.

One out of two there:)Oasis and Queen are not great bands.
Disagree, Scrooge is superb (Alistair Sim) and Muppet Christmas Carol is a 10/10;)Christmas films are wank
The older you get, left or right doesn’t come into it. You just hate everyone equally.I'm the opposite, mid 30s now and have gone from being full blown left wing to, let's say still left economically but closer to centre and fairly conservative socially.

Haha, love that sentiment but I do still try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt(have to, hospitality) bar the French and Russians :)The older you get, left or right doesn’t come into it. You just hate everyone equally.
You’re tolerance threshold for stupidity falls off a cliff.
The burden of proof falls on all others to convince you that they’re not gobshites.
Poppy appeal! Where does the money go?Most of the high profile charities are a scam.
