Apparently his younger brother Farhan is just as good if not better. Playing for Notts seconds at 14 but an offspinner.

Maybe the future after Jimmy is a lot more spinny than we expected.

looking at the action of that young lad, he's got a chance of being at great leggy, getting the (wrong'un googly) (flipper) (slider) into his locker will also be great,

he did struggle a little bit at the start with the line and length, but who wouldn't at his age,
so nice to see a leggy in the England team and when he gets the right pitches he could be magic,

Looks like that Pakistani score was a good score be lucky to reach it with the pitch spinning! Oh and Root been piss poor this series..

The interesting thing is that, with the current style of cricket that England play, you still wouldn't rule them out to win this! Whereas on the face of it, it looks as though they're finally going to be spanked.
But you can't rule it out… Test cricket is just so much more interesting like this.

Well that was an interesting run out. That's what happens when you play such attacking cricket. No need for it at all. Need a big score from Brook or we will have a big deficit. Batting is getting harder and our 2nd innings will be tough. Anything over 200 will be a tough chase.

I don’t think it had much to do with our attacking style of play. Harry Brooks pulled one out of the Geoff Boycott school of batting with dabbing his bat in. There were 3 runs there for the taking.

Credit to Stokes for giving the Harry the thumbs up. No I in Team etc.

We just got keep playing attacking shots because we sit in we get out and be 100+ behind we probably end up around 50 behind and chasing 350

That's one of the things that makes Stokes such a vastly superior captain to Root. It's not about him. It's about the team. He's basically saying, “You can do this without me, lad. Carry on doing what you're doing.”

As for Root: what in God's name has happened to his batting?

I though Root was tentative on his crease (this time) and could have been a couple of feet further forward to smother the spin. Maybe Root’s confidence is suffering a bit.

It’s great that Stokes has developed into this leader of cricketers. I bumped into a school pal of Stokes on a train to Wembley about five years ago, who said Ben had been a bully at school. How times change.

Joe will go down as one of our greatest ever batters but his captaincy was worse than his results, as I’ve said on here before. I gave Root the benefit of the doubt for a long time but the rotation shambles with Jimmy & Broad was the last straw for me.

What's with these really odd product placement ads they keep having in the coverage? I'm assuming it's something to do with the Pakistan TV rights as its just their commentators who keep doing it but just really jarring!

Chill out and have a nice cup of Tapal tea mate.
