Players who might improve us

Oh sorry, I thought you were just asking how much it would take to turn his head.

I reckon £65-80m would do it but we could probably chuck in a hundred.
It took 100m to convince Villa to sell you Grealish. Brighton priced you out of buying Cucarella by wanting 65m. If Brighton and Aston Villa could demand such fees for Cucarella and Grealish, why would a similar value entice Arsenal to sell? Were about to drop 65m on Mudyrk who is semi-unproven and carries some risk given he plays in Ukraine. If we would risk 65m, what would be so enticing about 65m for Odegaard is who is beyond proven a great player and also the club captain?

You would absolutely need to go beyond the 100m Grealish fee, because yes, Odegaard is better than Grealish. I reckon 120m would be competitive but would run the risk of being rejected and Odegaard designated not for sale.

Okay, £130m it is.

Odegaard always looks good. I'd take him as a Gundo replacement when the time comes
There are two clubs who won’t be selling any of their best players and that’s Arsenal and Newcastle.

Arsenal are now the biggest spenders in England and won’t be stopping any time soon. Newcastle are what we were a decade ago and are only going in one direction.

Odegaard will be in Arsenal’s midfield for the next 6-7 years and will win a league title(s) with them.

Those two clubs will be our biggest rivals in the next decade.

That all depends on Arsenals mentality as a club. We’ve seen them in the past have good players and then sell them for a profit.

The other side is whether or not they have success. If arsenal struggle to win things then the players might get restless and look for moves to clubs where they’re more likely to win things. Let’s be honest if Arsenal fall apart now and finish fourth, would anyone really look at them as a club going places?

Newcastle yes, Arsenal? not so sure

Midfielders I like:
Jude Bellingham
Enzo Fernandes (wouldn’t pay what Chelsea are)
Alexis Mac Allister
Bruno Guimaraes
Matheus Nunes (raid Wolves if they get relegated)

Liverpool bound allegedly
Chelsea done deal
Not a bad shout but Brighton will take the piss now
Fully bought into the newcastle project won't be leaving
Does he even start with wolves?

If we got Mac Allister for £40-50m I’d say that would be a good deal. Pep’s spoken really highly of Matheus Nunes - if we got him for say £20-25m that’s a good option.

I agree with Mac Allister top player from what I've seen. Right age bracket also however Brightons antics with cucurella doesn't fill me with hope on this deal
