In 1992 we signed "the best crosser of the ball" who was "guaranteed" to set up Quinn for a bagful of goals and be a success.

Some times new players don't fit, and other times they can take a while to fit in.

Yes seems like Sane was our last, though he did give the all away far too much..They are great to watch in full flow..(like Haaland with his second at West Ham, though not a winger obviously, just the smoothness).

Sterling was our last, other than Foden who I think is quite quick.

I’d love to have Saint Maximam as a back up to come on but I don’t think we’d have a chance of getting him.

Newcastle definitely don’t need to sell and he probably likes being the main man of their new project.

Grealish and Mahrez are great technical players but slow down our play way too much.

Problem with him was terry phelan was too quick. Kept getting in each other’s way.

This is our problem at the moment, we don't really have a winger at the club and we are to slow in transition. The fact we take of our two wide men and bring on two midfielders and it improves says a lot.

Feel sorry for Grealish, think hes a square peg in a round hole.

No pace to beat defenders, would be far better in the middle.

Im afraid my thoughts now are that he should not have been bought.

Keeping 2 players out wide but with no intention to turn and take on their fullback is ok to create space in the middle for our fullbacks to come inside That’s all very well until we lose the ball.

I've always thought he was bought when Bernie was nailed on to leave. Now that hasn't happened Jack's not really been needed

When a team plays mostly with a back 8 then pace is irrelevant. What matters more is moving the ball quicker. Grealish and Mahrez both like their touches though which inevitably slows us down especially when we play without the overlapping fullbacks.

It’s been the same for a few years now. If the game is tough, we desperately need Foden & Bernardo’s energy.

We played as in previous games predominantly down the left flank . There was a ton of room on the right to run into but no one did. The one time Mahrez ran into the box we scored. He never tried it again after that.

Well we all knew this was gonna happen, when we didn't replace Sterling. Oh well, we did, with PALMER :-)
