That's only relevant to the penalty award - which was presumably because the foul continued into the area - the red card can be issued wherever the offence takes place.

The reality is you can go on almost any forum for any side and name an official and the fans will give you a negative reaction about how this one or that one has it in for them.

That said, some officials are genuinely shite and Atwell is one of ‘em
