That’s only natural.

We will never be as good as we once were. 2017-18 and 2018-19 was the greatest English football team ever, maybe we’ll never see a team as good ever again.

Also, compared to the last couple of years, we’ve not had the solid Stones+Dias Stones+Laporte and Dias+Laporte partnerships. The base from the back isn’t as good and that’s just down to injuries.

I’ve just watched the replay of their first goal and (I know this is unpopular view) as far as I am concerned there was nothing wrong with. Rashford didn’t ”interfer”. The two City defenders closest to the ball didnt stop or noticeably slow down as others on here have suggested.

He was shielding the ball, it was a corrupt decision.

However saying that, a trend that’s so noticeable is that we don’t push on after we score and always let teams back in the game.
We need to re-address that and the way we play, as we’re so slow in our build up.

We have bought Haaland, so need to play to his strengths. We need to at least try to get him the ball, he is wasted on the pitch at the moment.

He made an obvious action by running with the ball - Akanji and Ederson are impacted by it as either would have got closer to the ball if he stops running. The rule is fine, the application is shocking

If that is deemed an attempt to play the ball then it must be offside.

If it's not deemed an attempt to play the ball then it must be offside because he is interfering with play.

Read on in the rules:

"Interferes with the movement of the opponent towards the ball, this is an offside offence if it impacts on the ability of the opponent to play or challenge for the ball"

He was shielding the ball thus impacting the ability of Akanji to play it.

People will moan and shit on the team. The truth is we had the game completely controlled, and for whoever says we didn't have chances other than goal, neither united. This is all on the ref

We had the game controlled for 35 mins of the second half but we only created one chance that Jack put away. I thought they created more. I am annoyed that both Malacia and fernandes ran around fouling at will. Bernardo should have taken there player out on the right that led up to the goal as apparently that was allowed.

I don't understand why we refuse to play over the top to Haaland but give the ball away trying clipped balls or wayward headers into the midfield.
The Offside goal is a farce, he is running over the ball for multiple seconds.
