Rumour I heard is that there are a number of unhappy players in the camp at present ….
The performance level is more down to some not allegedly wanting to give ‘their all’ for Pep any more.
Not quite at the Mancini situation prior to cup final…. But not far off

I`ve said this to friends. I feel there is more to this than the players out of form.

It not an accusation - I said a rumour….

Regarding source - via a professional in the game.

Obviously as City supporter I don’t wish this to be anything other than an unfounded rumour with no substance. And you are correct in that it is an easy assumption to jump to based certain individual and team performances.

So for all our sakes let’s hope it’s idle gossip
Its a rumour formed from an accusation.

And if this professional has told you directly? its information.

It could all also be bollocks.

Something is not right, the odd player out of form is understandable, but more than half the squad have gone backwards in the last 4 months.

But if there is the remotest truth in that rumor, Pep will be off and quickly.

He's earned time to get us out of this mini-slump. He needs to prove he's still the best in the business; that means finding a steady eleven, encouraging more energy and speed from the players, and, most crucially of all, adopting a system that optimises the strengths of our world class centre forward.

Come on Pep, show you're still the best.

Why worry? The ride has been fantastic, but if the players stop responding to the manager, maybe it's time for a change?
I agree I was only responding to the message.. I Dont think our success ends with pep as some posters seem to think.. Barca and Munich both did absolutely fine after him

I'm still not ready to believe that the issues are anything more than a natural decline after two successful seasons. We were stretched to breaking point last season with injuries. Having epic fights with Atletico, Real and having to win every game in the league.

This season Pep has shuffled the pack substantially to keep them fit, the WC was clearly a consideration and now that's done he's still trying to get things to gel. Couple that with signing a number 9 and adapting to that transformation, it's no wonder things aren't quite clicking.

The game at the weekend showed positive signs. We kept the ball well, it was just the final pass and clinical side that remained lacking. But at 1-0 we had that under control until an abysmal decision.

Hopefully we see that galvanise the squad and a win against Spurs on Thursday. Beat Wolves on Sunday too and we'll be 2pts off top before Arsenal play the rags. An Arsenal lost puts us right back in it again considering we've got to play them twice. They'll have a game in hand too of course.

We just need to beat Arsenal, which means they can look to sit back and counter us. We're not halfway through the season yet, no need to panic just yet. If this is a crisis and we're 2nd after back-to-back titles then fucking hell, good luck when we're in a real one!

My dad who’s watched City for 70 of years is comparing this season to when we bought Rodney Marsh. He disrupted the flow of team and ultimately lost the title to Liverpool. Haaland is world class but unless Pep finds a way to integrate him and not feed off scraps which he has barring a few games, the home derby fir one we look more fluid when he’s not there the Chelsea game.

Sorry mate I saw it a different way After we scored we eased off a touch and stoop dominating the game . Inevitably they started to push forward and we folded . The build up to the offside goal revealed how our shape had gone . Bernardo, Grealish and Cancelo were bunched up high left and wan bissaka took them out with a pass . They never chased back . The first half showed how vulnerable to pace we were . We ‘d lost impetus and were wobbling. Should have got a point .

Our inability to deal with pace and our weakness on the left are areas that opposition managers are exploiting with regularity.

We have allowed this situation to develop through poor recruitment.

Sure Pep has said the day that comes when the players dont buy into his methods is the day he calls it quits

If these rumours are founded, then we have big problem and one that could mean he walks come the end of the season

I felt we were quite comfortable, but I agree that defensively it looks ragged. However, we'd played Rashford offside so we dealt with it, aside from the clear error from the officials! There should have been more control though. We didn't need Cancelo motoring forwards and we didn't need Bernardo forming more of an attacking triangle. We should have reverted to the 4-2-3-1 with Bernardo alongside Rodri for cover and De Bruyne more central, but that arguably would have led to less pressure on the ball and less dominance with it, which we had in buckets in that second half up to their goal.

Predictability is a bit of an issue though. The whole world and his dog knows De Bruyne wants it in a little pocket on the right hand side. We often have Gundogan/Bernardo trying to do the same to form overloads on the left. Rodri is then trying to pull the strings, but out of possession we're a mess. It's one or two passes from the opposition, or just a direct run, and we're in chaos. Ultimately we play a very similar way to Arsenal. They've got Odegard and Xhaka looking to do the same, with Partey pulling the strings. But their wide players are more direct and their movement is better. Defensively they have a shape that smothers the opposition to win the ball back. Or maybe opposition teams haven't respected them enough to sit in and counter. When Newcastle did it, they stopped them scoring.

They saw little or no difference when Pep left them because they were (still are) playing in 2 or 3 team leagues.

The PL is a different kettle of fish.

My concern is that when it comes to succession planning, the Board may yet turn out to be the most complacent part of the organisation.

They're probably planning to get Pellegrini back to hold the fort while Pep takes a three year sabbatical

Then they, whoever they are, can jolly well fuck off.

What you expect? When teams have won as many titles as us there is usually a drop of but points wise we are up there with when we won the league before! It’s just Arsenal have been brilliant! Wait till pep goes then we will know what a real drop of will be!

Bunch of moronic soft arses in here. Trying desperately to get rid of Pep because we lost a couple of games. Who needs fans like this?

Pathetic reasoning to justify trying to get the great man to leave. Change is not a good thing most of the time and does not work. So who will take charge? And when that person gets sacked in 12 months who next?

Only a direct challenger wants pep gone. Oh and the media and every rag/scouse pundit. Total bullshit. Get behind our most successful manager.

That's disappointing and worrying if true. Did the rumour reveal why that situation has

Yes it could be - and I for one sincerely hope it is complete bollocks
