Pep’s Spurs (H) Post-Match Interview

Did they f*ck create an an amazing atmosphere at Old Trafford last week, bar the last 10 minutes after United scored twice. I stopped reading your post after that.
Don’t be denial because they did and that hurts me to say that because I can’t stand the fuckers. Anyway we need to pull our pants up and get behind them as a passionate crowd that we used to be.

Ee
Embarrassing supporters. That home crowd are passionless. Soulless stadium and has been for a long time. United fans created an amazing atmosphere at Old Trafford last week and they’ve had not a lot to shout about in recent years. I think we have the quietest Fanbase in the Premier League. Away fans brilliant. Home fans disgraceful. Always leaving early. Never create an atmosphere. Liverpool at Wembley outsung us for the best part of the day… booing A pep Guardiola team.. you are embarrassing and brought shame on my club. I actually have started hating our fan base. Sort yourselves out and get behind The greatest Manchester City team and management I’ve ever seen

How much of half time boos were ref vs performance
it was more likely frustration that after 40 minutes of being better than spurs we, once again gifted the opposition with our own fuck ups and gifting goals

if eddies balls up had beenin the 55th minute not the 42nd I doubt the ammount that booed would have.

error dead on half time and then another was probably the main factor.

I never booed by the way we played well first half, if very sideways.

Pep though is used to plaudits and adulation from the fans of teams he managed he seemed bemused at any criticism when it happened

They were dreadful in the first half man. Those fans had every right to boo.
Hindsight is 20/20 now, but things looked increadly bleak before that 2nd half turnaround.
We were good in the 1st half. Only issue is we lost our heads as usual after conceding and immediately conceded again straight after. Other than that we didn’t give them a sniff and had a few half chances ourselves, we can’t expect to batter teams 3/4-0 every 45 mins

Don't think Pep was having a go at the booing, more the general atmosphere in the ground I think. Shame that clubs have driven out those who would up the ante in this respect by pricing out ordinary fans. £70 nearly for a midweek game against spuds in weather cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey is shocking. Not to mention having to pay a membership fee on top of that in order to get tickets in the first place. I'm sure the execs will be happy though because we're still top of the Deloitte rich list.

I was at the swamp on Saturday and I thought the home fans were quiet as fuck. Even when they “scored” it wasn’t that loud, tbh much louder at Newcastle and liverpool when they scored against us

We don't do that often, and we are looking so fragle. Spuds usually good second half most weeks but Conte has lost the fight as well as our lads thank god...they got lucky but really odd they didn't fight for their unexpected lead. Terrible night for them and not particularly good for us Rodri and Mahrez aside. We NEED a keeper

So ashamed of our fans tonight. Win, lose or draw we get behind our Manager, Team and Players.

This is our City, Our Club, Our Community. We dont give up on them when they struggle, and we dont have any god given right to win any trophy. We are starting to sound like United fans. Self entitled and deluded.

For what Pep and the boys has given us this last decade, we don't deserve them after that tonight. Absolutely embarassing. He's rejected the Brazil job to stay at City and this is how we repay him. He's absolutely spot on, the fans who jeered tonight are an absolute disgrace.

Funny thing is that we won the game but this has left a bit of a sour taste. No point imo

Bit of an over reaction mate tbh , we’ve been lethargic for a while , when fans see an obvious drop off from seasons gone , and it’s not just a slight drop off , it’s been obvious for a while, fans react to that , and I’d say the second half reflected the boos. So lo and behold we pull our fingers out of our arses and we get the second half display , to blame the home support (not the 3000) who go away is a kop out. Something isn’t right behind the scenes, plenty have alluded to it on here. Great result tonight no question, Pep , or nobody can blame our home support for apathy. And to say our home support is the quietest is bullshit , it’s like you’ve never been to an away ground before and listened to the home support .

And just for reference, a United fan where I work was also at the match, and he wasn’t impressed with United’s support either, bar the last 10 minutes when it was loud and very good. Prior to that their singing section chants and noise hardly carried to the away end. Chants from the rest of the ground were sporadic. And after City scored you could hear a pin drop until United sored the offside equaliser. You’re posting sh*t about United’s support during the ’DERBY’, unless you watched it on TV?

Pep is obviously angry about the booing. He thinks there should be enough trust in the bank after the last few seasons. It’s hard to say he’s wrong.
If that booing was of the team and not the ref then I am ashamed of the fans.

We’re fucking second in the league with 19 games to play (including two against the current leaders), qualified for the knockout stages of the CL with games left, and on to the next round of the FA Cup. And are in a relatively short bad spell.

I said I wasn’t angry but numb at halftime, because I was more angry with the ref than anything, and was worried we didn’t have the fight to come back right now, especially with the suspect officiating and the fan reaction at the halftime whistle. Things don’t seem the same as last season in many ways.

But they proved me wrong and I was right back to being fired up. And I can’t imagine ever booing the team, unless it was doing some pretty obviously awful things on and/or of the pitch (most likely unrelated to football). Pep acknowledge things are amiss and threw down the gauntlet after the match.

How fucking entitled do you have to be to boo your team after a few bad performances in the midst of the best football ever seen at City, sustained over a decade.

Again, I hope that is not what most fans were doing, but they should be ashamed if they were.
