Enzo Fernandez

Fucking nuts for next season when Chelsea have Enzo, Nkunku, Mudryk and all their injured players back? In fairness, what a squad!

A big squad with quite a bit of talent and potential, but will only be helpful for Potter if he can get them to gel into a team, whilst keeping those on the sidelines happy. Players and egos can be difficult to manage as is quite obvious when watching the transfer moves lately ie Trossard, and other Brighton players being singled out.

i think they will have no problems shifting a few mate as their value on the books will be low now? First time to be honest for quite a while their squad looks better than ours imo now and for next season it is going to look incredible!

We'll see. As for shifting them, their salaries could prove an issue if Chelsea have gone full on.

Doesn’t seem like the new Chelsea owner values their academy much.

They probably don’t know where it is.

You two are joking surely?

Chelsea are regularly playing more academy players than any club in the country.

James, Chalobah, RLC, Mount, Gallagher, Hall, Broja.

How many academy players have to play regularly before they value the academy?

I’d be absolutely thrilled if we had 7 academy kids playing regularly.

Even if they move on a couple this window - RLC must be running out of time, they might cash in on Broja - they’ll still be playing more academy kids than us or anyone else in the PL.

I’d gladly take Ian Maatsen from them. Best LB in the championship this season, and I’m sure Kompany could put in a good word for us

Will have to sell a lot of players in the summer. I would take kovacic off them as he has a year left, he would be perfect for us unlikely though as he’s a key player for them

You think we will drop €120m on him when didn't drop €25m in summer?
We didn’t need him last summer due to the lack of playing time he would’ve got, sometimes talent like enzo can be hard to come by. Long term it makes sense also we can’t let Bellingham and enzo go to rivals

It doesn't work that way. We can't sign players just to stop them for going to rivals. We don't operate that way.

if they buy enzo they will have a better midfield than us next season even if we buy bellingham after selling bernardo and/or gundo. we have to be careful else we risk falling behind arsenal, chelsea and united in the transfer market.

Although it might not seem like it, City know what they are doing. 4 premier leagues in 5yrs would be some proof of that. Calm down ffs.

We have been behind the rags and chelsea in transfer spending for the past several years, where has that got them?

Arsenal having an incredible season, one that nobody expected and could yet completely fall apart. Never mind the 300m+ spent since Arteta arrived, he has really pulled the impossible so far hasn't he.

You say that but Lewis Hall has made the step up this season, and we obviously added Gallagher and Broja to the team from their loan spells last season. I don't know the stats, but I would be surprised if we weren't the team with the highest number of academy players making starts in the league this season (and probably last season and the season before that too).

this kind of complacency is what will make us go years without trophies. chelsea, arsenal and united not only have money now but also incredible football directors behind the secenes. all three teams have changed their backroom staff recently and bought in a football philosophy through their club. just look at their managers arteta, potter, ten hag all long term managers with a clear way of playing and a back room staff aligned with their philosophies. if we stand still this summer I can bet all three teams will finish above us next season. we need to go big this summer. a winger, a left-back and 2 midfielders all of the highest level not some cheap shit.
