I'd love them four players that was mentioned but we've still got to agree a fee for these players.......
He probably won't be a starter next season. But players like Gundo are very valuable to a team. He's similar to Lampard David Silva Modric and Kroos, neither of them are graced with pace. But the one thing they do have in common, is having a great footballing brain when it comes to controlling a gameHe’s always been a great player for us, but we need fresh legs in the team to improve.
Gundo is 32 going on 33 and has only contributed to 2 goals and assists in the prem, the reason why we are linked to Maddison is because pep wants more goal contributions from midfield.
He could get into many teams in Europe and have a starting role ,which he shouldn’t be getting next season, I just believe it’s the end of his time at city now.
Hes doing all his coaches badges at the moment. So maybe apart from a role in the team, he's been promised a role with the coaching side of things as wellIf we get reported targets the midfield will be:
Kdb
Foden
Bellingham
Maddison
Rodri
Phillips
Gundo
Where is he going to get a game, why would he be happy sitting on the bench when he can start in a different league where his wife prefers the culture there to Manchester.
We need world class playersAlong with Maddison, these are two worrying links. Players that aren't the requisite standard and are never far from the treatment room. It's the Phillips signing all over again. I pray it's just rumour-mongering in the wake of a quiet window for ourselves.
We need world class players
What left back is world class? It does seem like a very small selection. What world class left back is realistically attainable?

I like Maddison but I'm not too struck on Chilwell
Theo Hernandez probably counts. And I like Lucas, his brother. Other than that, there's not much out there that is better than Zinchenko, who we let go. I was okay with letting him leave when he did, but I am starting to think it was a mistake.
And, unfortunately, if you're going English your basically looking at Kieran Tierney or Ben Chilwell
Kieran Tierney isn't English

Well rounded player. Christ not another Luke shawChilwell in terms of pure ability would solve our LB issue. Given the options in the market, there are few LBs better and even less that will actually move.
The massive risk is his injuries and I think the club would need to tread carefully with this.
I've seen Chelsea fans completely dismissive of the links and staunch that they wouldn't entertain it, but they will absolutely need to sell players in the summer or risk failing FFP. Chilwell is their best LB and lights ahead of Cucurella, but they just spent £60m on the latter, have a good talent in Hall breaking through and have another excellent propsect in Maasten doing well at Burnley.
I think, given the unknown nature of whether he'll ever get back to his best, that they could be tempted to shift him this summer. But it won't be cheap - fully expect to pay something in the realm of what they bought Cucurella for - and again, that's a huge risk with the injuries.
Chilwell at his best would be an asset to City though. A very well rounded player.
I agree. So I think a Chilwell/Tierney is a solid option.Exactly my point. Even the very best LBs have their weaknesses.
There's no real stand outs in the position, so there's no point in us getting hung up about signing a 'world class' LB because we are very unlikely to be getting that unless we unearth a gem.
We just need a solid, orthodox LB that gives us 7/10 performances. I think the club have been too cautious over who to sign for years, when we could have just signed someone like Tagliafico a couple of seasons ago who would have just done a job for us.
You think we are in for Gvardiol? We don't need a left-back. Ake has made the position his own and signing Gvardiol would also be more than good enough, while also giving game time to Dias and Stones, should Laporte leave.
That makes him the perfect city left back.Yes, I was thinking Trippier, who is, but also isn't a left back. :)
We need a world class team which is very different fro 20 world class players. Something our club understands I’m not sure Chelsea’s owners do.We need world class players
chillwell is not a well rounded player. he is bad in possession and lacks composure. not sure he is a pep player. he is better suited for a counter attacking team. the same thing with madison.Well rounded player. Christ not another Luke shaw
