It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

To be fair we've got a fairly new attack.

Haaland and Alvarez not played for us yet, Grealish is 1 year in, Foden has only been playing regularly for 2 years, Palmer only just broke through. Mahrez is the longest serving and he's been around a year or 2 less than Jesus and Sterling so it'll be interesting to compare in a few years his stats.

I do think we'll miss Sterling and his directness, but I'm excited to see our new look attack. Its been due a refresh for a while.
never compete with the red arrows or 3 amigos or whatever tyle called them so dont build your hopes up

Just hope we aren't selling the wrong players!
Top 5 combined goals and assists playing under Pep

291 - Lionel Messi (211+80)
186 - Raheem Sterling (120+66)
175 - Kevin De Bruyne (70+105)
151 - Sergio Agüero (124+27)
136 - Gabriel Jesus (95+41)
Interesting, but also worth noting he's been with us for 6 years, Barca for 4 and Bayern only 3

And during that 6 year period, Sterling has been here for that entire 6 years and Jesus 5.5 years

Still, incredible numbers in there, works out that between both well be missing out from 55 goal contributions across the full season (all comps)

perhaps, but maybe we'll contribute even more with the likes of Haaland, Alvarez, Palmer...

All those chances that went a-begging might actually be taken ;)

Break those Sterling and Jesus figures into successive seasons and you'll see they decline over the most recent years.

Not dropping off a cliff, but definitely not improving or maintaining peak level.

No player is irreplaceable.
