We should write off the idea that he will ever get a run in the team, shame
It's tragic, a world class player if he stayed fit unfortunately that's never the case. Mind you that seems to apply to all our defenders these days.

Shame about Stones but luckily it's a position we're fully stacked in.
You say that as if it’s a problem. If Ake is used as a FB (in the big games) in February, we'll have 3 fit CBs for 2 positions, provided that they stay fit.
Ake very rarely missed a game before he came to City. Had a hamstring injury late in his last season with Bournemouth but before that he played every week for 3 or 4 seasons.Stones will never play a lot of games continuously, neither will Ake .
Its not their fault just one of those things ,we will have to accept it while their both at the club .
Hopefully your right,we will find out soon lol! but whatever happens we will manage .Ake very rarely missed a game before he came to City. Had a hamstring injury late in his last season with Bournemouth but before that he played every week for 3 or 4 seasons.
It probably hasn't helped at City that he hasn't played consistently. Maybe his injury record improves now he plays every week?
I think rotation is detrimental both individually and collectively, but then there is also the extra games and squad contentment factor at a club like ours.Ake very rarely missed a game before he came to City. Most teams have 4 for that reason.
add to that all those who complain about not having a settled defence I cannot accept anyone arguing that there is an issue with us having a few injured defenders
Crazy to say with Haaland in the side but Akanji is our signing of the season for me, a huge player that came out of nowhere, without him we would have been up sh1t creek. The Akanji signing was such a smart one with Stones injury record.
Could work in our favour to get match fit but as you say Southgate will rip the arse out of having him available.Unfortunately he'll be back for the fuckin International break and play both games or whatever is planned in it.
