Not a single supporter in world football would think Ake would be replacing Cancelo inside 12 months after he signed an extension to stay with City either.

Yet here we are and it happened!

Reality is strange is it not?

Your right.

A prem experienced full international playing at full back for City is completely unexpected.

However a young lad playing at Bolton, coming back and replacing one of the top keepers in the world in the next 12mths is completely reasonable.

Never said that. Don’t rule out him becoming number two next season. The Cardiff academy keeper Benjamin also a good recruit, but that is way into the future.

I would have as Ake is a decent defender and cancelo was terrible at it

The missus is a Bolton season ticket holder.
I've seen plenty of the lad in person (love to get to games when we're not playing), and on the box via Ifollow
No way he's ready for us yet - but another season at a higher level and he'll go in the right direction
 
City bought ortega for free, we like to make the money these days so maybe after his good season, the plan is to flip him for 10-15 mil and promote trafford to number 2? Club might see it as pure profit without a downside.

Can’t argue with that seeing the player in person. I watch Bolton whenever they are on the tv and the lad looks a real prospect. Time will tell. The lad we just bought from Cardiff is also a good keeper according to my Cardiff colleagues.

My lad watched Bazunu at Pompey as he went along a few times with his Pompey mates & said he looked amazing at the time.

I would think that a loan manager does know that we intend to take the player back though. I doubt he would know more than that, including whether we intend James to be part of the squad, or not.
