PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

On 5Live - Simon Stone ( I know I know ) reckons this is being done by the FA to prove they can administer their game to try and head off the govt imposing their own Independent Overseer on them - if thats the case I hope we lawyer up and smash the FA so that their stunt blows up in their fucking faces and they get some Govt donor appointed to tell they what they can and cannot do

The fa are not involved in this at all.

It’s a premier league investigation that’s resulted in a premier league charge and will be decided by a premier league appointed panel.

I take it we're all going to fired up for the villa game..Time to circle the wagons blues

No. You’re still talking absolute shite.

Manchester City’s Auditors and accountants have no business knowing about if Al-Jazira payed Mancini millions.

The Premier League however, does, because they need all remuneration including from related parties to be disclosed.

37,000 posts on Bluemoon and you're accusing others of talking shite ;)

For the league to prove that we paid Mancini millions from wherever they would have to have that information. I doubt the PL can get that information themselves, therefore an government agency would be needed?

And what about the charge of inflating profits?

Was a bit despondent this morning when the news first broke, but feeling a bit more bullish since reading the Simon Mullock article. Would love it if we prevailed again.
Same I always ignore until the club make a statement. The fact no one resigned like juve means there’s substance behind it. Still early days though but bullish af

A small thing but I reckon enough to sow some very useful doubt about the legitimacy of the allegations. "They couldn't even decide what they were accusing us of".

It’s more like they couldn’t even attach the right clause/rule number to the right charge.

As was pointed out they change a lot year to year, so rule E.3.2 might mean something totally different in the 2022 rule book to the 2016 one.

Same. Maybe because it was the morning after the game yesterday, but I was pretty miserable this morning after this broke. Maybe a moment that felt as bleak as the Super League moment did. But yeah, having read that and some of the stuff around the white paper, I hope we fight like bastards and send this commission packing.
