PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

We need to deal with this quickly otherwise they'll be some long term ramifications.

We'll struggle to hold on to our current sponsors and no company will be wanting to negotiate with us either presently or the in future. They may use this to cease current contracts. Business hates tarnished reputations

Our global and local fanbase may dwindle. Those impressionable you fans will hesitate to choose City as their team. Those fickle US or Asian fans (not that I give a fuck but it is revenue for the club) may quickly disassociate themselves from us. Rags, Newcastle, dippers and Sooners will benefit.

May affect future signings and parents of young players contemplating which premier league team they sign up for.

If we do ending up winning and are proven innocent the club needs to go full on in the world media to vent their anger, prove their innocence and threaten any liable headlines, comments with lawsuits.
I doubt kids will care about finances much so one part of that won’t Happen. (I concede Sponsors and future transfers are at risk through.)

Are City allowed to ask if all other 17 clubs are being investigated, we know taggart paid is son dodgy money as an agent. etc
The Bebe transfer stank, plus the PL very quietly dropping part of their own FFP rules inc increases in wages at a time the Rags had numerous large contract renewals up and when they also spent heavily soon after. That stank at the time but was ignored by the media

This seems like an attack on City by the PL. The timing is off. City weren’t informed prior to this. Some of the charges are trivial. Apparently there was one about the length of grass. This will be a lengthy process - appeals possible by both parties. At least this gives us the opportunity to put all of this to a side once and for all. This will be damaging to the reputation of the PL. The fact that they charges for things like ‘length of grass’ are being mentioned shows that they are clutching at straws. This club is very well run and it’s time to prove that.

never underestimate the love HH Sheikh Mansour has for the club and Manchester as a city. He and his investment groups have ploughed Billions into the City, redeveloped previously near no go zones, created jobs, academy's and more. He and Khaldoon has made it clear they will not give up and will do whatever it takes to maintain "not prove" their innocence, we have nothing to prove, we just have to put the PL and other clubs in their place.

This legal action opens a pandora's box of shit none of the PL Clubs want to see, they may think they are protected but do you really think we spent the last 4 years smoking shisha having a giggle, or was that time spent preparing for the inevitable bullshit cluster we knew the PL was about to offload.

Everything will now come out "all be in the commission has said the case will be heard in private", but that does not stop 'leaks' in the same way leaks conveniently came out against us. The appointment of every member of that independent commission will be questioned, every word of the charges will be analysed and studied, every document sent, received, missed, or hidden will be requested. The PL Committee who put this together will be investigated, the forensic specialists will be drilled microscopic level.

And all this when we now hear that LFC have not received a single official bid in 3 months, MUFC will get bids but nothing close to their target price. Consortiums, Individuals, etc will all look at what the PL have done today and think again about investing in any PL club or associating themselves to this level of blatant targeted attack.

This will take years!

All we have to brace ourselves for is the media circus bullshit, the hypocrisy and the double standards that will hound us for the rest of this season and seasons to come, I just hope the manager, players, supporting team and senior executives have the balls and energy to see this through.

Now we need to fight back and win the PL, win the Champs League and say - f3ck you all!
i bloody well love this post, we should send this out in the villa programme, it should be pinned on the tactics board in our dressing room, we’re gonna unload & unleash everything every little dark secret the gruesome hateful 8 want hidden the premier league will regret their attack on us as we will unload the best legal minds on earth & expose all their skeletons in their closets, they wanted this remember the gloves will come off i don’t doubt we as a club have built dossiers on our enemy’s so it’s release the hounds time, they’ll wish they never started this witch-hunt on us.

37,000 posts on Bluemoon and you're accusing others of talking shite ;)

For the league to prove that we paid Mancini millions from wherever they would have to have that information. I doubt the PL can get that information themselves, therefore an government agency would be needed?

And what about the charge of inflating profits?

There is no charge of inflating profits. Do you mean inaccurate reporting?

So the question should be

Or why always us?
Because we weren’t part of the G14 and aren’t part of the Cartel of clubs in the aftermath of that, weren’t part of the Sky Four or the original Premier League Five (remember when five clubs tried to set up the PL with ITV and try and get 75% of the revenue shared between themselves and the remaining 25% shared between the other 17 clubs?)… we’ve never been ‘in there’ with that group of clubs and the ones who’ve remained together as a group are basically business partners who all collude to enhance their own clubs and fuck the rest of us.

We turned up and upset their party and they’ve had it in for us ever since. We broke up the Sky Four, we were playing in the CL while many of the G14 were dropping out. It angered them… all! We aren’t one of them, we are a threat to them, they don’t want us up with them and they certainly can’t take it that we’ve overtaken them.

They have previous board members in prominent positions across the governing bodies; we have nobody. We are an outsider. We are their enemy.

They have worked together to get the two UEFA investigations and this Premier League investigation banged on our desks. The funny thing about that is that a group of businesses colluding to go against another business is literally a Cartel in UK, European and US legal systems and they are illegal. They have brought in ‘anti-competitive practices’ like FFP, which, again, is actually illegal.

The owners deserve a lot of credit for what they’ve given the community in Manchester and their investment in developing parts of east Manchester

I was wondering about this.

Going back to 2009.......i mean really 14 years ?

Then allowing exactly the same thing to occur annually for 14 years before acting. Something really off with all that.

In my view going back to 2009 highlights the weakness of the case, especially as it is difficult to imagine everything was squeaky clean under Frank prior to 2009. ADUG took over in Sept 2008 and I don’t think they did much for the rest of that season apart from buying a few players and trying to get to grips with the basket case that was City at that time.

Given City seemed to have stopped cooperating, and with no real evidence to formulate more focused charges, this move seems to be about breaking the impasse, as City will cooperate with an independent enquiry. You can argue that City in many ways have forced this move.

The negative is that this does tarnish City’s name, but that has been the case since 2014. Equally, it damages the PL brand no matter how it plays out, so no idea what the PL thinks it is trying to achieve as it seeks to finally find out whether Mancini’s payout a decade ago had a sweetener on top.

No idea where this will end, but throwing shit at the wall from 2009 in the hope something sticks is a dumb strategy as shit flinging tends to end up with everyone covered in poo.
