PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

How could the Prem prove that? They have zero jurisdiction over Al-Jazira, so surely that’s impossible to prove without Mancini providing his bank statements no?
yes or getting direct statements discussing the payment between city and Al-Jazira bosses. no one should be that stupid right?

If we've broken rules then we need to take our medicine. We know we're subject to scrutiny - perhaps more than other clubs - so we need to be above reproach. If we haven't been, admit the transgression and accept a proportionate punishment. We also need to ask for other clubs who have broken the same rules to face the same punishment - and if the PL can't provide definitive evidence they haven't done, we need to push for an explanation as to why our dealings are more closely scrutinised than others.

If the accusations are bullshit we need to fight them long and hard.

This is the point I've been making - even if we're guilty, how can they prove it?

There's a reason it took leaked emails from Simon Cliff basically saying "Ah don't worry about the sponsorship money we'll take it from somewhere else" to get the UEFA sponsorship inflation case going - you basically need a signed confession, and Cliff just saying under oath that's not what he meant got it all thrown out.
Sorry mate, I must’ve misinterpreted a previous post. This thread is moving that fast, it’s tough to keep up!

So let me get this right that we are charged with not 5, not 50, not 99, but 100 indiscretions. That's a nice round figure for the media to get their teeth in.
Are any other PL clubs charged or to be charged? I am damned sure that most will be responsible for many, many indiscretions of their own over the same period and beyond.
I just hope the club come out with all guns firing. This may be the last chance saloon as THEY are determined to derail our wonderful club.

Centurions

Ha, we can be the absolute worst nerds together.
It wasn’t a loaded gun and don’t think city aimed it that way. I read it more that how wrong they got something relatively simple to begin with, backing up the rushed comments cementing other reasons being behind this.

Does anyone know how long this process will take? Also on another note - the PL hypocritically mentioned about the lack of co-operation from City on the case but surely City being given no prior notice to the PL’s announcement is a lack of co-operation on their part.
It's unlikely it'll be a fast process, with this many allegations it will be a lengthy process to unwind them and it seems likely that even if found guilty of anything we'll see any punishment stayed pending appeal.

And I believe the lack of co-operation charges date back several years and are not based on what happened in the very recent term.

The biggest worry to me is what happens until things are settled. I could see this being a significant blocker to recruitment - would top talent sign with the sword of Damocles hanging, I doubt it. And if we're innocent, all the worse ... it could be a drawn-out process that ruins several seasons. If the club did break any regulations I do hope they come to a settlement and take a reasonable punishment quickly - though this remains to be seen, clearly.

I was going to ask people’s opinions on Stefan, I mean in a way of is he someone to listen to or not obviously just opinions. I used to follow him but had to unfollow as I found every tweet depressing to be quite honest.

I did the same for the same reasons. Hid negativity did my head in
