PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I went to a cracking away game at Walsall in the late 80's. City went 2-0 down, keeper went off injured 1st half with Gleghorn playing in nets the rest of the match. City manged to get in front 3-2, only to let a goal in at the end from a bad back pass. The inflatable bananas in the away end when the 3rd goal went in!

Great days but I’d sooner not go back to them

The UEFA case had certain issues 'time barred, also the illegally obtained evidence like hacked emails were inadmissible. This won't be the case with the PL case.
Nor correct. The emails were admissible but CAS dismissed their evidentiary value. Emails are evidence of a conversation not the substantive action alleged.
Two issues were time barred. On one CAS took the unusual step of commenting, saying:
”There is no evidence that the alleged behaviour continued after the introduction of ffp.”
On the other, our defence would have been that our accounts gave a true and fair picture, which was accepted by CAS as a defence to many of the other charges.

As a fan of another team, I find this very interesting. But what strikes me after reading a lot of this thread is that there's a lot of blame-game going on here. I've read a lot of blame towards other clubs, the FA and PL, but very few, if any, are talking about the real case and the substance in the accusations. If there's done something wrong, which the enquiry will find out, surely there has to be consequences?
Fleksnes = Norway = Liverpool presumably. Nuff said?

It’s an embarrassing mistake but not sure it’s as bad as you’re making out.

Some intern has gotten the years that the rule book changed wrong. In 2012 the laws moved around so the old rule C became rule E

E11 in 2011/12 is entering the Fa cup and in 2012/13 onwards its submitting accounts and they’ve mislabelled it.

The 12/13 book even has a little column telling you what the old rule was - I bet they never realised how important that would be!

Not sure it will get us off, but I do think it will impact how the more diligent journalists like Kieran Maguire view the competency of the PL legal team.
in my opinion it makes them look incompetent and feeds into the idea that it was rushed through for this independent regulator. Theyve had 4 years to make sure its watertight and correct

Can any penalties, fines, points deductions or whatever be enforced before any high court appeal takes place?

I think City should be vocally questioning the finances of some of the other teams. Chelsea under Abramovich and all that Russian oil money stinks, Newcastle and their mew owners, the way the Glazers took over the rags, the behavious of Liverpool fans (and their manager). Come on city, lets sling sone muck back

i dont think so they are suspended pending appeal. Looking into it all financial iregularites tend to end up in a points deduction. People memtion juventus the relegation it was due to match fixing. Theyve just been done for financial irregularites and its a points deduction. I personally think city will face nothing really maybe a fine if found to not have coporated. But i expect them to finally challenge the whole lot and clear our names

20 points appears to be the maximum allowed so we would be better off nit happening this season and its iver and done with
Accepting a points penalty is an admission of guilt in some way. We seem to be guilty until proven innocent in the eyes of every other club, and even if we are innocent we will still be guilty in their opinion, stuff like this doesn't just go away.

I still think we have a very good chance of winning the league this season. Time to get behind the lads on Sunday, next week at arsenal and see where it take us. Block all this crap out and use it to our advantage, on the pitch at least.
