PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Laura Woods desperate for Jamie Jackson to make a click bait comment regarding city. She is asking if the charges will impact players coming to the club.

Christ, this I'd like asking will an inmate have visitors in prison before he's even found guilty and had a trial.

Talkshite are so desperate.
I had the misfortune of listening to a bit of her this morning on the way to work, courtesy of the City fan who gives me a lift having Talkshite on. She could barely hide her giddiness, just like most of the other cunts on that station. Fair play to Parlour - he's one of the very few who keeps things sensible and never seems to get carried away with the hype.

Parlour was on the fence , she just reads what she is given surely, I mean she said city’s lawyer is on 5k an hour 80k a day ,assuming they work 8 hours a day

Save to the extent that the Panel members may have their own biases, I think you should assume quality arbitrators are objective and will deal with it fairly. But even in the Courts, litigation risk is always high. Few cases have merits confidently over 70%
Personal biasis always colour decisions, as much as we'd like to think not - especially in civil cases and where liberty is not at stake. Look no further than our own Supreme Court in recent times. City need to make a lot of noise about the lack of objectivity and the personal leanings of those selected to adjudicate as this will be the entire crux of the judgment. Simply accepting whoever is put forward would be a huge mistake. But I'm sure our legals will be all over it.

The more I speak to people surrounding City, the less I am fretting.

It's as if we already know we will be more than fine.

I'm not going to invest much more angst into this, as everything else is just partisan and misinformed bollocks.

Our summer transfer window could make Chelsea's January one resemble a car jumble.

I’m less confident after waking up to the post from @projectriver that High Court isn’t an option if we’re found guilty.

I naively thought that someone, somewhere would give us a fair hearing at some point.

The High Court is an option. And that's coming from City yesterday.

I know you keep saying it's irrelevant which team members on the panel support as these are ultra professional and the bias/club colours will be put to One side. Do you think if Murray Rosen was a City seasoncard holder the PL would have still chosen him for the panel.
It’s not being an Arsenal ‘fan’ I have a problem with, it’s the fact he is a season card holder. A fan can be many things, like having a team for the sake of it, or a celebrity being given one on soccer am, following the team your family does, many ‘fans’ don’t even follow that particular teams results, it’s just a label for some, there are many instances, but this fella is a SC holder and I doubt it’s just to impress clients. I know it boils down to integrity and so on, but it just feels like the PL are laughing in our faces with this appointment

I am pretty sure that if we had to we could take it to the high court, maybe someone else can confirm this. That said I am very confident that we won’t have to appeal as the PL have Jack shit on us.

Blimey, imagine the boiling of piss if we open the cheque book this summer. Presumably the hearing won’t have happened by then.

They know we will be fine because?

Can you give a little more detail for those of us who don't have access to the club and for whom this is affecting their mental health.

I still cant my head around why the pl have investigated us to this level.

Were the pl acting a hunch ?

Do we know all members of the pl have their accounts looked into so deeply ?

City are the only member of the top 6 that wants an independent body

This stinks to high heaven

It's so clear that the other 5 ( 8 ) all have something to hide by not want a independent body.

Ignore 99% of the press/media they are up the red tops arses and wouldnt dare print the truth unlike Martin Samuel.

This is 100% a witch against City so the pl and its clubs can keep the bent nature of the pl under wraps.

The pl now have VAR to help get the results they want.

The small pl clubs wont say a word because of the money they receive. They wont derail the gravy train.

I still thinks it against the law to stop an owner investing as much as he wants to improve his club. If I bought a business in any other in any other business sector I can invest as much as I want.
How can the football business legally stop investment ?
How can it be bad to be debt free, pump millions into the area around your statium, improve the area so much. How the fuck can that be wrong.

Yet it's ok to be half a billion in debt or even a billion, do nothing for your communities. Buy up house and leave empty pushing down prices.

City are run brilliantly by top top professional people.

City have to win this witch hunt for the sake of English football, if we lose the Americans take over. It will become a closed shop league. No relegation no promotion.

This is more than just City and other club fans need to wake up.
This has only really come about because of the Der Spiegel articles and the hacked e-mails. UEFA opened their investigation, and the Premier League opened theirs seemingly off the back of the UEFA one. I think most of us thought - understandably - that when we won at CAS that that would also be the end of the PL investigation. However, it appears that certain clubs have been pressuring the PL into continuing to pursue this and it's kind of snowballed from there with a raft of charges that encompass far more issues and seasons than UEFA had us up on, even pre-dating the implementation of both UEFA and PL FFP, such as the Mancini stuff for example. What I find most surprising is that they've also chucked in all the stuff that UEFA eventually lost on at CAS - after that verdict I didn't think that the PL would want to touch any of that with a bargepole but I suppose they're winging that one in the hope of getting a different verdict to what we got at CAS.

I'm as certain as I can be that without the lobbying of certain clubs who shall remain, cough cough, unnamed, this wouldn't have gone anywhere. No doubt they'll have also chucked in threats about reviving the Super League idea for good measure in order to shit the PL up into doing something.

All these big clubs out to get us! Imagine for a second if we’d actually done something really bad, you know like actually illegal, they’d finish us on the spot! Such as;
murdering 39 innocent fans.
rioting at our own stadium causing damage and injury to staff and police.
hacking a rival database
fixing league games
actaul false accounts that avoided tax not paying more!

Any fanny wipes out there with any negativity to our own club- STOP AND THINK ABOUT IT WE HAVE BROKEN NOT A SINGLE LAW, JUST SLIGHTLY OVER INVESTED IN A PREVIOUSLY UNDERINVESTED TEAM, WHILST TRANSFORMING A DEPRIVED AREA!
sStick with the club , whatever the outcome xxx
