Express just retracted article about Haaland instructing lawyers

Whether we are guilty or innocent is irrelevant to the UK media and their puppet masters (USA all the way etc) that continue to orchestrate their covert racial and ethnic biases towards our club. You could argue we are stereotyped as "Arab owners/oil money = cheating cnnts". Once an investigation was announced the discourse was always intended to portray City in an extremely negative manner - or at least ramp up that discourse. IMO there are sinister forces (in plain sight) at play here to discredit our owners - "how can nomads be so successful in the sporting world and especially in England". Anyway thats my tuppence worth, ignorant rags and dippers will continue to hang on to every word of scummy racist journalists !!
The worst thing about the English media is the total lack of challenge to the established order. Years ago there were always right wing papers that supported the establishment at all costs. But now virtually every media company has become part of the football establishment. No challenge or scrutiny happens. Every question and every story is prepared to support the preconceived narrative.
There is actually a great story in the bitter vendetta between the US owned clubs and Manchester City. Skullduggery and corruption behind the scenes on a scale the sport has never seen. But no one wants that story they just want to follow the establishment line they have been fed. Most of the modern day hacks are just fucking nodding donkeys.

Heard Some guy on the radio saying CAS cleared us of charges purely because they were time barred, not because we were innocent and that this time without the timebar technically, we are toast. It’s not that hard to find the CAS statement online but these people spout lies to feed the agenda

Twitter is full of the same stuff.

People actually believe we were guilty at CAS because of the fine (for not co-operating) and believe we were only found not guilty on a technicality.

It shows what a piss poor job the main sports media does of explaining facts to people.

A truly shite piece of reporting by one of this country's most awful rags. Anyone who has witnessed Haaland after a City win can see the guy is loving it at City.

As I said in his player performance thread, I know for a fact that he'll be buying a house in East Cheshire. The price tag made my eyes water, not something you buy if you're only here a few years.

Exactly, and football fans will follow unwittingly!

Not a piss poor job at all.
There was only ever one way that this would be reported, and it never bore any relationship to the truth, and that’s exactly what they did.
These so-called ’journalists’ are nothing more than obsequious cheer-leaders for the vested interests.
They have sold their souls, if they ever had one.

Again as I’ve mentioned — my American friends who mostly follow other clubs are almost entirely empathetic. It helps that they all have college degrees and most work in finance. It it boils down to a) isn’t this double jeopardy? b) there’s no way City engaged in actual accounting fraud with auditors signing off on books and missing years of sneaking about; c) football governance across the board has proven itself incompetent if not outright corrupt far too often (FIFA was a big deal over here since the U.S. did a lot of the heavy criminal lifting — we never miss an opportunity to big ourselves up with self-congratulations :) ); and d) journalists over there are hysterical muckrakers with a substantial portion of allegedly mainstream print rags as bad as the National Enquirer over here (see the movie “Men In Black” — the tabloids).
