Because it’s in the interests of the larger teams at the time, to keep the status quo. They are scared of the same thing they are looking to protect. Competition.

Just can't see this happening at all unfortunately. It has gone to far.
The PL would look to be an absolute bunch of total clowns.
I'm totally convinced the 'independent' panel will find us guilty
as charged and the penalties will be issued. It will eventually wind up
in the High Court where our appeal will be upheld. This, I believe is
their plan. Another three years of hate, suspicion and our totally trashed
reputation. We eventually get off, but at what cost? The PL walk away and say
'we did our best' (which they will have done) nothing more we can do. We are
then forever known as cheats, corrupt and a dirty oil club. Mission accomplished.

CAS took the unusual step of commenting on the time barred issues. On one they said “there is no evidence that the alleged payments continued after the introduction of ffp.”
On the other no comment was made but that charge would have required our accounts to be false, so we would have been cleared.
CAS also criticised UEFA for including the two items in the charges.

New leadership at the EPL - I wonder if the change at the top enabled these charges to proceed after 4 years. I foresee another change of leadership coming (along with a regulator) and this case being withdrawn.

I always felt the club would have been better served by putting out a robust response to the media’s distorted slant on the CAS result.

You're looking at it narrowly here. The PL have probably asked for all financial records and been provided with them. They might have also asked for every email sent over a 4-year period - do you think that's a reasonable ask?

So basically UEFA put the time barred in, to make it look like we cheated. But couldn't do anything about it.

I am more interested in anything new the PL has: image rights maybe? IP sales and share services? Maybe some transactions and accounting treatments that need explaining but I am sure management can do that.

I doubt the CAS stuff will be litigated any differently, and the time barred stuff, I don't think, is a concern.
 
The whole integrity of our club has been questioned.

Like Pep said yesterday, what if we are innocent of the charges levied against us ?

Who will be held responsible?

The PL?, the PL clubs?, the PL CEO's who were are pretty sure are the drivers behind all this?

Whoever it is, we need to ensure that they feel the full force off our legal team.

We've spent years trying to work with these ****'s, falling into line, not rocking the boat and trying to fit in.

However, it's not been good enough for the entitlement, these twats have overstepped the mark bigtime and are trying to wipe us of the map.

Pep summed it up for us all, we have already been hung, drawn and quartered..
