PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Careful Pep you’ve got Etihad on your shirt, that’s disguised futuristic owner investment…they’ll be trying to wipe that promotion from the records & send us back, hope to god he never went to Wembley although he does have an obsession with Dickov
I’m amazed he didn‘t name check Barry Conlon and Buster Philipps.

Apparently so, but different. This is from 2015, but it's the best I can find!

Any club that has been relegated to League 1 having exceeded the £6m limit will not be subject to a transfer embargo but will be required to comply with the Salary Cost Management Protocol (SCMP) regulations in place in that division. These rules require League 1 clubs to limit their spending on players’ wages to 60% of turnover plus 100% of Football Fortune income (e.g. financial donations, transfer income, revenue from cup matches), with a club relegated from the Championship being able to operate at 75% of turnover for a transitional period of one season.

League 2 clubs operate the SCMP system at 55% of turnover and 100% of Football Fortune income.

It's a similar structure to the new FFP rules of (revenue+transfer profit)/(wages+amortisation)

Targets are to be under 90% this year, then decreasing by 10% for two years.
Thanks, really appreciate this.
This also explains why Gary Chuckle is so vocal with his views about FFP.

no problem.

Well yes, he still thinks Salford can reach the Championship (at least) and then FFP kicks in.

Of course, all the money at Salford and the hotel is the Malaysian Peter Lim who has basically destroyed Valencia.

There was the leaked email before the CAS trial in which Simon Pearce said about an Etihad payment that HH would pay the short fall It was assumed by the enemies that HH would be Sheikh Mansour those who knew AbuDhabi said that the only person referred to as HH is the president Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan
It wasn’t convincing though. There are several instances of Mansour being referred to as HH. We would have been better off to say it was shorthand for HH will ensure that Etihad had the necessary funding to meet all their obligations and stick with that.

So true, they've never been bigger than City, not before the PL rolled around and not in the PL era. They broke into the top 4 around the same time we did. Spent most of the 90s and early 00s as a mid table club. Fair enough they didn't have as bad a 90s as City did, but that's not much an achievement.

Yet, they pushed Pochetino to give soundbites such as "Spurs are a bigger club than City"(Who does that btw? Not even the big sly 3 clubs are that desperate) while Pellers was manager I seem to remember. Some of their fans talk as though they were as big and successful as Arsenal and need to get back there. I find some aspects of that club very bizarre. They should view the big sly 3 like City fans do and even Chelsea fans do. Instead they seem to have deluded themselves enough, to give themselves the same entitlement complex that the big sly 3 have, without any justification for it. They think they are part of their crew rather than the one desperately trying to tag along, seeking validation and approval all the time.
Exactly, Spurs fans are rags without the trophies.

When we finally beat this and City feels that our image is permanently damaged, do we go after the Premier League for compensation? Is that possible?
I’d settle for a full, grovelling apology that acknowledges our complete innocence. And extra points each season

Absolutely
Have said for a while that Chuckle is basically Lim's bag man.
Chuckle's payoff for failing at Valencia is his seed money for his business dealings
