It sounds more like a flippant jokey comment to me. Not so much corruption but an example of the sort of bad faith shown to our club by the authorities. I thought Howard Webb looked a bit nervous and unconvincing when he was asked about the Attwell decision. He tried to hide behind the "subjective decision" narrative but then admitted the decison was "probably the wrong one."
Personally I think the so-called "leaked broadcast tape" is more about cock-up than conspiracy. It shows the media and some of the referees are happy to privately mock our club. A bit like John W Henry nicknaming Soriano "the terrorist." Oh how they laughed.

Just don’t listen or read their crap. You’ll be all the better for it.

This is frustrating for us but we are threatening the establishment here and we have to win the war or they will destroy us, I believe we know the end game is near and we have to be ready, no good winning a few battles along the way however frustrating it is.

But aren’t our owners/management a bit like your royal family. Neither confirm nor deny anything.
We don’t seem to get involved until ultimately required to do so.

Yeah, the "odd dig" -- Delaney mentioned the "troubles" four times in the first six paragraphs of his article on the Arsenal match.
