Any Long Covid sufferers on here?

Yeah keep eye on that. Have you got one of those oxygen monitors that you clip to your finger ? My wife was very breathless when she had it but I think it was more anxiety than lack of oxygen as the monitor gave good readings. Hope you feel better soon.

I haven’t got a monitor no, I’m keeping an eye on it. I too am wondering if I might be getting myself in a flap and making it worse.

I know pal them oxygen monitors you put on your finger are £20 in boots go and buy one to check your sats, it puts your mind at ease good luck

It could be that. Try and get a monitor and if oxygen level ok (over 95 I think is good) then you can maybe relax a bit and the anxiety may go away. I have anxiety from time to time and the feeling of not being able to get a full breathe comes and goes depending on how anxious I feel.

I’m 99.9% sure that I’ve not had covid, our precautions are mainly full on exclusion.
My missus has a serious autoimmune condition and covid would kill her so we’ve never left lockdown, still wear masks whenever we go to the shop, don’t take visitors & haven’t even been into the homes of immediate family so no family Xmas or birthday celebrations, we haven’t even hugged the grandchildren since it all started (which is the worse of it as means that we’ve never held the youngest).

Anyhow, over the last year I’ve had the regular sore nose thing so it might be due to something else maybe?
It manifests itself as what feels like a cold sore then flares up to form a hard and sore area around the nostril/s.
After weeks of being a Schnozzola Durante impersonator it finishes with a scab inside the nose that lasts for ages and bleeds like glory if you disturb it.

I’m at an age where I get the embarrassingly long hairs growing out of the hooter thing and I can guarantee that if I pluck so much as a single one out then I’ll get 6 weeks or more of the nose issue.
If I trim them it doesn’t happen so I’d supposed that the plucking of a hair opened a route in for some kind of bacteria living in my hooter but I’m not a doctor so it’s just dodgy guesswork.

Mirrors exactly what I have got and I’m experiencing mate. On a cruise this week and my left nostril at the bottom feels like it’s got a huge cold sore inside again.

Doing my fucking head in now.
 
I now have a personal trainer kind of guy that the long COVID clinic has referred me to. He gave me a free pass to use the gyms and swimming baths. I'm gonna try and swim two times a week. The gym will be too much for me. They're really helping me now, though. It's because of the amount of people taking time off work due to the condition.

Just back from a visit to my son who has long covid he is eight months into this and his symptoms are getting gradually worse. Chronic fatigue, dodgy guts, muscle aches. He is still able to work from home but is wiped out other than that. GP has told him he can do nothing for him.
If anyone out there has long covid, are you getting any practical medical help?

Does he still test positive ?

how olds your son?

I am 35 years old and long covid has actually brought on Arthritis early.

Since January I have been on steroids to help with the pain, and just started on Methotrexate to combat the body pain/aches etc.

be worth him looking into that

He is 44 and was fit as a flee when he got a mild dose of Covid last August. Were you diagnosed methotrexate by your doctor? Has he/she been supporting you? My lad has basically been left to fend for himself.

Yeah...I have Long COVID appointments every month now. They can help with loads (apart from an actual cure)..i got a free pass for the local gyms and swimming baths. I'll take up swimming next week...see if that kind of exercise helps. I doubt it, though...any exercise or slight bit of work wipes me right out. I feel worse since getting this over a year ago.

Terrible.

I can only hope things turn round quickly mate and he makes a full recovery.
