OK. So based on your assumption he's going to cost 100m, which is utterly ridiculous. And we sell Leporte for 50 and ake for 40. Now that's 10m for Gvardiol.

Now picture this scenario. We lose two of stones Dias Akanji and Gvardiol for a few weeks. Who's going to look stupid when we're left with just two CBs and pretty much no LB

Whats difficult to understand, is how you think we can survive a season compromising, of around 60 games with 4 quality cbs.

As for a member claiming they don't need to sell, I'm sure they don't. But they wouldn't, also like to keep a player who wants to leave. Gvardiol will cost no more than 60m

i dont think it will be that rumours were 100 million euro release clause. so about 85 millionish. But then selling laporte will offset some of it.

If Ake signs a new deal and even if Laporte leaves, i can't see him coming here. We will still have 4 senior CH's and i don't think he's the type of left back we're going to need.

Move Akanji too. Dias, Ake, a John and Gvardiol. Not sure he won't be overplayed considering how injury prone John and Ake can get.

I don't think us having 4 cbs is the issue of laporte goes. I think the issue is Ake and stones injury issues which every season would leave us short. I think it's already agreed with gvardiol to come to city and laporte gone.
