Put a LB at LB and we can do things, tinker and we’re fucked.
So, let's be positive - put Ake at LB and we’ve a good chance - 2 goals from the Viking!
1 for them so...2-1 to City.
Apart from the short amount of time Mendy was fit, we haven’t had a left back for seven years and we haven’t had a left back under 30 for a decade.

Any surprises in the team selection or game plan from Pep tonight?

Maybe not a surprise but I could see Grealish possibly being rested because he has started the last 8 games or so. Foden started the other day but it was his first start in a long time, Mahrez was on the bench. So I could see Phil and Mahrez playing and Grealish being rested.

Could Haaland be rested and Alvarez start? We know Pep likes to rest Haaland when possible and with it being a two leg game, he could take that risk and keep him fresh for the league where we can’t afford any more slip ups.

I wouldn’t think so. Haaland can have the BristolC game off. Nights like tonight are why we’ve brought Haaland.

Listened to a couple of pre-match forecasts in the media , why do they always look at the possibilities that City "can be got at" and our defensive frailities , we never get any positivity and what we are capable of doing to Leipzig.
No doubt the BT pre-match will be more of the same , but you watch the Rags v Barca pre-match chat tomorrow and it will be Rashford this and Rashford that and their quest for the quadruple , with a few Rag pundits and a couple of Rag commentators.
Hence i now refuse to listen to the BT bull shit and turn on the TV at 7.59pm , and then mute the commentary , the continual negative media agenda towards our club is now becoming comical , no other club is treated like this and no other club in history representing England in europe has had such negativity.

Well said, every word true

Come on City!

imo this match can go either way, i hope we manage to get any kind of lead before 2nd leg.
A close 3-2 win, goals from Haaland and Gundo and Dias header from corner.

Also we will concede from the first on target shot against us. :(
