Against my better judgement, I'm unlocking this thread. The advice from earlier still applies; any reoccurrence of the bickering and insults from this morning and early afternoon runs the risk of warnings and/or threadbans. If you insist on arguing with another poster, instead of doing the sensible thing and ignoring them, do it via pms.

I never get this closing the threads and punishing other folk who want too post. If someone is hurling abuse at a poster remove them. It's a pretty simple thing to do instead of pissing everyone else off.

She wasn't a child when she showed zero remorse in her first interviews. We are a soft touch society but for terrorism...zero tolerance should be the way, otherwise we are simply pissing on the memory of the innocent people who have died to this stuff.

She was given her rights in a court hearing, she is entitled to appeal. Her rights weren't removed by a couple of media interviews.

I don't particualrly care what her mental state was plain and simple. She seemed all smiles when her and her mates were flying across the world to join the cult. I'm saying she gave up any rights in this country as soon as she joined a terrorist organization...this after years of terror attacks on british soil to teach her and her mates better.

This is the trouble with the soft touch approach of today...absolutely everyone, from pervs, rapists, murderer's, you name it, have a ready made excuse and a long line of fools to make them. Not suggesting you are a fool but that mentality is imo utterly foolish and only helps this kind of threat thrive in the west.

If we had a zero tolerance approach to the IRA I very much doubt we’d have ever got to a peace agreement! Anyway that’s not actually the point here, the part that doesn’t sit well with me is that we are stripping a British citizen of their citizenship without taking them to trial and charging them with crimes and also the fact she was a child when she made the decision to join ISIS.
