You don't watch the games. Just the results. I loved the vidiprinter back in the day.Good professional performance. They were dangerous on the break but with the home leg to come we are in pole position. Interesting that VAR was used much less than the Premier League and the game was better for it.
Not read a word of thread, so my thoughts with no influence, but fuck off Pep.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, overreaction, best manager ever blah blah blah, but if EVER a game summed him up then tonight was that game. Fucking pathetic, utter shite. How the fuck did he once again make ZERO subs!?
Gundo is so over the hill it’s embarrassing, I could run more than him ffs.
We should have spanked Leipzig tonight, they were shite. We scored from a mistake and created fuck all in 90 odd minutes.
Wouldnt surprise me, and I wouldn’t blame him, if Erling fucked us off in the summer.
Disgusted.
I don't say he cannot play 4-3-3, but to what effect? And the fact is we play it no more, guess why. Against Forrest it was Kdb then FOden making darting runs to start press, tonight it was Bernardo and that screwed us, because he could not be in two positions in the same time. What I read here people want our game to turn into NFL offense phase of the game, with Haaland playing a wide receiver. He can play 4-3-3. As pep has said the issue is with the supply and not with Haaland. The problem seems to be the wide players not keeping the pitch wide in the final third. Opposition full backs are happy to let the players drive back inside and into the traffic. Mahrez has these games where he plays the whole game safe. I’d rather he drove forward and took risks, even if it meant he lost the ball sometimes.
Lack of genuine width up front as well. How often do our wide forwards attempt to beat the full back on the outside? Rarely, why? Because they are one footed and cut inside onto the strong foot, it's predictable, kills momentum, and easy to defend against. Remember when we used to stretch the pitch with Sane and Sterling? We are a million miles away from that now sadly. Our problem in my humble opinion is the midfield simple as. Only my opinion thats all.
Managers instructions - must be right?Remember when Eddie used to hit them long for Kun to chase, he doesn’t do that for the big feller. Surely we should mix it up occasionally
Completely agree, Kev the only one in the squad who is willing to take risks and potentially lose the ball to create a goalscoring chance.. but hes fucked after 60 mins these days. Also have no legs in the middle with rodri and gundogan, nowhere near mobile enough in my view. Its crying out for grealish or phil to be played in there surely? Or both!?Our problem in my humble opinion is the midfield simple as. Only my opinion thats all.
Mods- please ban this ragHe's not wrong, Pep has already managed them out of one CL title with a baffling team selection against Chelsea. It seems like he puts his ego ahead of the club, like he doesn't want to just put out the best XI and let them dominate because he might not get enough credit.
Who would you replace pep with?Lot's but there comes a point where you can see his stubborness costing us.
We won titles / trophies by smashing teams in the furst half and the second half of gmes was relatively pointless. Now we could all see a change in the game was needed, we can see Phil and Alvarez on the bench, but Pep doesn't. No subs tonight, why?
We had a chance to win the CL, but instead of picking a team to win, he overthought it and we lost the chance. I don't think we'll ever get another chance to nail the CL with Pep in charge.
He's been a great manager, and we've seen some amazing football under him, but he is now too set in his ways I fear, which has led to watching some terrible games this year. Sometimes it's good to realise when it's time to move forward and thank the incumbent for where they have got us.
We’ll never have a better chance than Porto.. And he (yes, I believe the buck stops with him) lost us that final..They had him for 3 years. UCL isn't the easiest thing to win. We havn't won it without him either have we? Anyways its all hypothetical stuff, I am glad to have Pep here and stand up to the PL. He has delivered the best seasons in English football and its still not enough for people.
Imagine David Silva
You have mentioned what I dread “dangerous on the break”, that is what we as a team have not come to term with.Good professional performance. They were dangerous on the break but with the home leg to come we are in pole position. Interesting that VAR was used much less than the Premier League and the game was better for it.
This year? Pingu the penguinWho would you replace pep with?

I know but it’s strange isn’t it. All that pace and power up front and it’s not even used.Managers instructions - must be right?
