Glad to hear he had a good game - personally I would like us to be more transparent about who is intended for the first team and who is a CFG signing that we don’t plan on keeping around. Hope Perrone is the former.

He must be doing well in training as Pep is very reluctant to trust anyone to play in midfield who he doesn't have faith in.
Nice for Alvarez to have a fellow countryman in the squad and for us to have some Argies back.
Also great that we are picking up players who add to the squad at bargain prices.

Anyone else think with his distribution skills he could be replacing Ederson soon?

Always a good sign when a young player comes on the pitch, looks and more importantly believes he belongs there.

Wouldn't take anything from 20 minutes against a beaten side that look certain to go down. Am looking forward to seeing some more of him though.

I would agree with this, but I'm encouraged that he was personally recommended to Pep by Javier Mascherano, who is now the coach of the Argentina U20 team. I thought he looked elegant when he came on, with crisp passing and awareness of what was around him.
