Not convinced we will buy one…
Depends if we do get Bellingham. If Liverpool actually get the money to buy him then we should have the funds to go for a winger. I just think Liverpool is his number 1 choice but if not then it’s City.

It's either that or a LB/LWB.

We need some width, someone who can put the ball through or put a cross in, without having to move the ball inside to do it.

I know Ake has been doing that recently, but i'm not sure he's the long term solution.

Why not?

I think Ake's performances and the rumors of Gvardiol mean there is no LB on the horizon unless Chelsea tried to offload Chillwell. Gomez is still here also and with more time in the squad he perhaps earns the trust of Pep. He is very capable going forward as a different option.

If we miss out on Bellingham we'd still need a midfielder, why would we go for a winger, that would be a chelsea style scattergun approach.

So we are expecting to makes moves on Bellingham (£125m), Gvardiol (£100m) & Mac Allister (£75m?). Thats a big outlay

and a left back?
I think pep wants to give this system with effectively a 3 and a 2 in front a try. That means minimum 3 centre halves required and a full back who can play there but also come inside- it may not be a conventional full back we go after. Rico Lewis also may give them hope that he could do that more consistently next year and Ake at LB works pretty perfectly as the centre half who can play there and come into the 3. As would gvardiol by all accounts.

Mac Allister was spotted at The Abbey Stadium in Gorton, according to a respectable source. The washed out BBC presenter source had a bottle of White Lightning in his hand.

Gvardiol replaces Laporte and Chilwell comes in. Looks like there will be limited game time for Walker next season

No I’m saying if we didn’t get Bellingham then it would be Kovacic and Max Allister so that’s probably around £100m plus £88m for gvaridol where’s the money we had for Bellingham going?

It's just my opinion.

Ake is primarily a CH. He's doing a great job at the moment pushing forward because the team needs him to, because we have no one else.

I know people want Gvardiol, but the form of Ake, and especially if he signs a new deal, is why i don't think we'll end up buying him.

Meh. Kate Abdo, please.

Mac Allister and Kovacic would be at least £150 mill, Gvardiol abot 90. If we aren't looking at wingers now I still don't see why not getting Bellingham would change that, as we still be buying 2 midfielders.
Think that only changes if we decide to move Foden or Grealish instead of buying a midfielder.
