Sadly the rags never had an issue with profile and never will.

The slur on Leicester winning the title was from bitter conspiracy fantasists and very different from the abuse and hostility directed at our club.

I remember a fair few from this very forum who became conspiracy fantasists during and after Leicesters shock PL Title, Keeper.

This is the truth and if any of us haven't already, then they need to grow a thick skin, anybody with half a brain can clearly see that City are the best run club bar non. If it's upsetting any of our rivals it's because they are jealous, nothing more.

I do and it was very sad.

They were superb and well deserved winners.

People these days simply cannot accept home truths and always have to find some sort of conspiracy, very weird times.

Not necessarily disagreeing with your viewpoint on "conspiracies" overall, but come on. Leicester's meteoric rise from Championship to PL winners in no time at all followed by an equally rapid fall from grace must make you wonder. Same as Liverpool's regular above average performances followed by spectacularly poor performances. Most clubs you can explain their performances over seasons perfectly reasonably. Leicester and Liverpool not so much.

City did exactly the same in the mid 1960s. Promotion from the old 2nd Division and then within 2 years won the Championship (PL as its now called).

The football landscape looks nothing like it did back then though. For Leicester to stay up by a point and then go and win the title is almost unbelievable in modern times. It just doesn’t happen.

Heady days they were! Remember them well.
 
Everton story is weird how could they possibly pass FFP even with exemptions and Covid allowances etc given their losses but to charge them with one breach and not say what stinks
