I have zero idea why you think that. I have stated numerous times on here that Corbyn was too right wing for my liking, but Starmers idiotic treatment of him will cost Labour votes.

The polls are narrowing, Sunak is doing better than expected, the Johnson fiasco will be over and the Tories are the best party in the world at reinventing themselves.

Plus the Tories have the all powerful media onside, the Labour party is uninspiring and the electorate apathetic, the they are all the same narrative suits the Tories. Voter ID hit Labour support more than Tory support and in UK elections incumbency is King. The Lib dems will make gains at the expense of both parties, and whilst the SNP is imploding there is no guarantee of gains for any party.

To an extent as well 50p Lee is right, the nest election will be fought on culture war issues. The Liberal left have no answers to the Tories on those matters, because they rely on identity politics and the real war is the class war being waged against the working class. Labour sadly have no answers and the working class know that.

I can’t take you seriously when you describe the current polling that predicts a 348 seat Labour majority as the polls narrowing and proof the tories are on the way back.

Still not buying it. After the ERM debacle under Major, the switch was flipped and the Tories were out. Same is true now after Johnson and then Truss, when again, the switch was well and truly flipped.

The polls will dog around a bit, Sunak is not totally insane, but I think the cake is baked.

Interesting how you formulate your opinion, probably down to your personal views and the people you interact with.

From the people I see then it’s a totally different view and I’d say that only 1 in 4 are anywhere near voting Tory, with the 1 in 4 of them still wavering.

That is a very simplified appraisal of what I would like for the country. I despise the Tories, but I also despise Liberalism. I totally get that we need the Tories out but would a centrist liberal government be any better. It would still be in awe of Capitalism, it would still see state assets sold off to privateers, it may even given the links that **** Streeting and others of his ilk have to private healthcare mean the further selling off of chunks of the NHS.

I in all seriousness can not vote for a party that does not represent my views, but to suggest I want the tories to win is ridiculous. You lefty liberal types can win or the tories will win, but either way, i am not represented.
