Not going to happenThe sad thing is, the likelihood of there being a tragic event in 2026 far outweighs any likelihood there was of one in Qatar.

It's not possible to articulate how fucked up that picture is. I also made the mistake of going on twitter and seeing some of the responses; might be time for me to abandon that platform. There are some sick people in this world.
I hope you're right. Doesn't change the point I was making though. Not going to happen
It really does, you're suggesting that a random fuckwit could do a mass shooting at a sporting event. You're in the realm of a massive terrorist act which as we know can happen anywhereI hope you're right. Doesn't change the point I was making though.
So three nine-years old being shot dead, is that not a terrorist act? The sick fuck that did this left a manifesto; is that not straying into the conventional territory of terrorism? How about Sandy Hook? Columbine? How would you designate them? Whether or not it's designated an act of terrorism doesn't take away the heinousness of it.It really does, you're suggesting that a random fuckwit could do a mass shooting at a sporting event. Whilst I agree on your points, a stadium full of people is somewhat easier to secure than every school in the country. So three nine-years old being shot dead, is that not a terrorist act? Bottomline; where are we most likely to see a fuckwit commit a mass shooting at a sporting event, Qatar or the US?
There were thousands of tragic events directly caused by hosting the World Cup in Qatar. The sad thing is, the likelihood of there being a tragic event in 2026 far outweighs any likelihood there was of one in Qatar.
Nope, not happening.“We have nothing left but prayer”
BAN YOUR FUCKING GUNS
I'm not disputing that. I'll clarify, I meant tragic event in regards a shooting. There were thousands of tragic events directly caused by hosting the World Cup in Qatar.
One is worse than the other ?I'm not disputing that. I'll clarify, I meant tragic event in regards a shooting.
And there it is. The "American Dream, Land of the Free" mindset that will continue to see hundreds of innocent kids slaughtered in classrooms. How many would be too many for you? A hundred in one sitting? A thousand?Nope, not happening.
I would prefer noneAnd there it is. The "American Dream, Land of the Free" mindset that will continue to see hundreds of innocent kids slaughtered in classrooms. How many would be too many for you? A hundred in one sitting? A thousand?
No. And you know that's not the point I'm making. My overriding point was that a tragic event involving a gun crime is more likely to be seen in the US and not Qatar; but I suspect you know that and are being disingenuous. One is worse than the other ?
So you'd prefer no children were killed in classrooms, but would also prefer to keep your licence to carry laws intact? Don't you see the stark correlation between the two?I would prefer none
I feel that you think a tragic event is worse when a gun is involved ?No. And you know that's not the point I'm making. My overriding point was that a tragic event involving a gun crime is more likely to be seen in the US and not Qatar; but I suspect you know that and are being disingenuous.
Not sure that I said thatSo you'd prefer no children were killed in classrooms, but would also prefer to keep your licence to carry laws intact? Don't you see the stark correlation between the two?
It doesn't matter what a persons stance is with guns............in the US, guns are not going to be banned and neither should they. And there it is. That's literally what you said. You said you'd prefer no children being shot, but the only way these heinous crimes stop is by tightening your gun control laws. Unless I'm missing something? Not sure that I said that
Why shouldn't they be banned? And people do devote their energy into the debate regards control and regulation, yet nothing seems to be done.It doesn't matter what a persons stance is with guns............in the US, guns are not going to be banned and neither should they.
Now, if you want to talk about control and regulation, that's where the energy should be directed.
