Our Badge

Firstly - as far as I know the ship just represents trade and is not a slavery ship... most probably a ship for transporting cotton... and Manchester, as we know, stood proudly against slavery and helped bring about it's abolishment.
People need to listen to Thomas Sowell and educate themselves on slavery.

It’s gone beyond that. These are people who cannot be reasoned with. Privileged people who can rely on the bank of mummy and daddy if required and who have not the slightest idea what real life is like. They are a cult, and a dangerous one at that.
They want to cancel basically every facet of history and society that has gone before them. Except the bits that suit them. They are the new fascists.

I propose we replace the sailing ship with this, in keeping with our modern identity.

Our badge is justified and no need to link slavery to trade. I'd imagine few people knew of slavery at that time, as they were too busy working as kids in the mills.

Ar$enil badge offends me. Promotes warfare and weaponry. Their nickname insults many.

Brentford highlighting the need to save bees, and work together industrially, shows class.

What the flip is a Liver bird anyway?!

Forest, known to have felled most of the trees of Nottingham and still boast about it.

Wolves have a wolf as a constant reminder that extinction means extinct.

It could be argued that West Ham show communist undertones in their badge.

Tottenham. Bland and forgettable badge. Their manager should criticise that too.

Look hard enough, and think long enough and everything is connected and there to be learned from. Or paint a dull picture and reword history to suit a narrative.

Put some fish under it like Grimsby have

How about the Bristol badge

Brisrov1.png

"The badge of Bristol Rovers reflects the club’s nickname of “The Pirates” and lends itself to the seedier side of Bristol’s wealth of maritime history. This history includes the incoming of cargo from around the world including, sugar and cocoa beans for the making of chocolate and sweets in the area, less sweet was the cargo of slaves. "

World's gone mad. Is sheff utd's badge going to be questioned because it has two swords on it? or are ships more offensive than swords?
