In terms of Gundog, a few months ago I'd have agreed with you, but since playing Stones as a double pivot with Rodri, this has released Ilkay to play further forward as a No 8, where his fading legs aren't so much of an issue.
For me, he's been a revelation since the defensive responsibility on him has lessened & as a result we have two creators supporting Haaland/Julian, as well as our wide players.
