This is absolutely the case.Bernardo made an interesting point about City playing for the aggregate result and not the individual game result. I think we played with a lower intensity than normal to prevent ourselves from getting torn on the counter.
People have criticised us in previous campaigns for not managing these high pressure, potentially bombastic situations.
Then we do that, and people criticise us for not playing bombastic, end-to-end football.
And it’s also not like Bayern weren’t six inches away from likely being absolutely destroyed at home to finish the tie.

Glad I am not the only one. Seemed obvious to me, at least. All of his responses on the touch line seemed OTT.Totally agree with this.
He knew the tie was over and thought by showing over exuberance/passion would endear him to the fans of his new club.
