When it comes to flights I noticed for Porto they went up substantially and then dropped, even after we knew who the finalist were, perhaps that was due to cancellations or maybe they put on extra flights once they know who is playing. Personally I'm not one for that kind of risk so I've booked mine already. I knew some spuds fans who ended up paying £6k for everything because it was last minute and there were a lot of them sharing!
I think me canvassing views on transport logistics doesn’t quite amount to triumphalism. I’ve already conceded this tie will be extremely tough to win. I’m just trying put some insurance down now, which I think I’m entitled to do.
I’ll live with losing a few quid if we get knocked out to Real, as we could very well could be.
Could be the difference for my 14 year old lad though - it will determine attendance for a lot of people, who might not be able to afford flight accommodation and tickets up to £500 - and wouldn’t the ghouls in the press just love it if we got there and didn’t sell out.
Haha utter bullshit, I go to plenty of domestic aways, family life just doesn’t allow European aways at the min, so if we get to the final it will be my first and I won’t feel in any way guilty about that.

It has to be done. I booked up Paris last year with free cancellation, before we played the second leg against Real. I wasn't expecting to go, just preparing in case we did. Because the dippers had already got there things sold out/spiralled in price very quickly. So it was the logical thing to do.

I’ve looked at this as well, just pricing up 8-12th in Istanbul with flights about £1k, I’ve already reserved a hotel months ago but flights are fucking nighmare.
It's going to take me probably 6 hours to get back to Brighton on Wednesday after the Arsenal game, so a 7 hour £22 air conditioned bus shouldn't be too painful.

With the trains - am i right in thinking you cant book tickets online and it has to be on the day? Is there any risk of trains selling out? I see there's also a flixbus that takes 8 hours from sofia to istanbul
