Headlines and quoted comments are two very different things, it's just what journalists do.What annoyed me more was the misleading sports headline.
"Dias admits City are dreaming of winning the treble."
He said no such thing. He talked about how he uses visualisation of what to expect from arsenal strikers in the game.
Most of the pundits on espn claiming Arsenal winning the title would be bigger than City winning the CL. It's like listening to a bunch of schoolboys all shouting 'my dads bigger than yours'.See the media narrative has changed over the last couple days to Arsenal are the plucky underdogs against big bad City and have nothing to lose.
"But Erling Haaland will need to finally turn up"Nice headline with a little "the best way for man city to bottle the treble" tagline added on for good measure....

WOW! (NOT read it, as that's the whole purpose of the hook and bait ;)
This. It just further proves how out of touch the 'journalists' are. Its evident on Twitter more recently that fans of other clubs are seeing through the shite they print too.The negative way we are covered in the media looks stranger by the day. But I don't think it reflects the majority view of other football fans. During my various travels round London over the weekend I bumped into lots of rival fans including Sheffield United, Palace, Milllwall, and West Ham fans. Not a single one mentioned Arab oil money or cheating. The Millwall and West Ham fans said they were delighted by our success because they hate United, Arsenal, but, most of all, Liverpool fans. The Blades' fans said they loved our football and loved Tommy Doyle and James McAtee. I know there were a few young knobheaads knocking about after the match slagging us off but they really were a tiny minority of their mostly great fanbase. Sometimes it is easy to forget how much the media is out of touch with public opinion in this country.
Didn't this Herbert call us "grubby fans"or something similar? this for me is crossing the line and should not get past the editor. He may have an agenda like most shills but calling out the fans who spend hard earned money to support their team is ultimately so unprofessional. I think I might have read on here somebody came looking for him in the press box and he shat himself.
There are collectively more fans of the redshirts than there are the rest. That’s why we are covered in this way.This. It just further proves how out of touch the 'journalists' are. Its evident on Twitter more recently that fans of other clubs are seeing through the shite they print too.
TBF to Sam Maaterface he mentioned how “lean” our squad is during the FA Cup comms. First media person I’ve heard buck the “2 world class players for every position” narrative.Agreed.
Just 22 players used in the league.
4 of them haven't a start between them (Gomez. Phillips. Palmer and Perrone) and have played a combined 450 minutes total.
1 of them - Cancelo- no longer with us.

It's what a lot of businesses do. Take airlines.....flight to Tenerife £60....great. But then you've got to pay for your seat, pay for a suitcase, pay to get on the plane, pay to breathe oxygen....all of a sudden £500! Businesses assume we're all gullible fools and unfortunately a lot of us are :-(Headlines and quoted comments are two very different things, it's just what journalists do.

Why a potential Manchester City treble has nothing on United '99

Those plucky underdogs! Bless them!Is it going to be something about being one of the lowest Premier League total's ever?
Or that they were a big 1 - the richest club in World football by some distance, and had an astonishing financial advantage over the rest of the Premier League.
According to the Deloitte rich list of revenue for 1998/99, United's financial advantage in the Premier League was absurd...
United £111m
Chelsea £59m
Arsenal £49m
Liverpool £45m
Think it was the following season they drew Bayern again who came to the swamp and wiped the floor with them.Well,we would have to get outplayed by our opponent in the CL final for 85 mins, while they hit the woodwork 3 times, before then scraping a couple of goals to claim a victory,to even come close to their f’kin feats, wouldn’t we!?Jammy twats were nowhere near the best in Europe that year, despite the shite constantly spouted.
Captain Black, very good, I like that.[emoji38]He does realise that captain black is coping City ?
‘It won’t be a treble as good as United’s and here’s 99 reasons why’
