There’s not a lot I admire about US sports (and some of its gimmickry) , but retiring numbers does seem appropriate in some cases (KDB) where the club is effectively saying no other player can earn the right to wear that shirt number. Perhaps Kev’s could be hung from the roof of the new North Stand ? along side MVF’s

In hindsight the 3 statues we have should have been merged into 1 to signify an era. In that case you could have also added Fernandinho and Yaya.

Then we'd have more space for another era to be represented by another few legends. For example you could have Kev, Ederson and Gundogan together to represent the early Pep years.

Maybe Rodri, Foden and Haaland would be the later Pep era.

As such, I wouldn't mind if the whole stadium was turned into a giant effigy of the great ginger-coiffured genius, and everyone had to bow their head and offer prayers to him, before being allowed to enter.

Kev will get a statue, no doubt. He is a phenomenon.
A player other players, and kids, aspire to be.
He has entertained (enthralled?) us supporters, and through his perfect on and off the field representation of himself, he reflects that back on the club as a whole.
He is as worthy of a statue as anyone in the game.
Just need to get the rosy cheeks right, or he'll look like he's in pantomime drag :/

If we made the statues with the players sat down, we could always plonk them on all our empty seats to make it look as though we had sold out all our games……
