The Observer reports that five councillors standing for the Conservative Party in the upcoming local elections have been suspended over allegations of racism and Islamophobia in recent years - part of a wider group of 13 party councillors who have been suspended over similar concerns in the last four years and subsequently reinstated. Mohammed Amin, a former chair of the Conservative Muslim Forum who left the party for the Liberal Democrats, says individuals, once exposed, "are typically suspended and then quietly reinstated a few months later", with the party's lack of transparency leaving the public in the dark about "whether they have given adequate assurances that they have changed their ways".

I watched 'The Swimmers' film last night. A true story about two sisters fleeing Syria to seek asylum in Merkel's Germany. An absorbing story well told. Good to see refugees situations humanised for a change.
Our approach is thoroughly inhuman and depressing.

The website that doesn't recommend voting Green in Brighton of all places is a big red flag .... so no surprise it's this grifting bellend that's behind it.



Don't forget the last 'progressive' tactical voting site that recommended Libdem in Kensington and the Tory got back in by a few hundred votes. FBPE in a nutshell.

Tudgenhadt is descended from a Jewish granddad who fled the Nazi's - he has always struggled with the current immigration rules and couldn't bring himself to toe the Braverman line
