Today's shooting in America thread

It's just rinse and repeat and will be until the end of time. It's obvious if you've got guns freely available to every Tom Dick and Harry, that every so often a pissed /drugged up person,, a person with a grudge or a psycho will decide to start blasting away.
It really is that simple.

Don't forget having most of a continent's mentally unwell walking around heavily armed and laced up to the eyeballs on psychoactive medication instead of getting any kind of proactive treatment.

What a truly fucked up country, they still think they are in the days of the wild west.

Nearly every citizen armed to the teeth with more firearms in circulation than there are people.

Citing an antiquated 2nd amendment as their "right to bear arms", you can't even go shopping safely in that hell hole.

I think they must get a buzz out of mass shootings

And it's even worse - gun ownership increases the likelihood of suicide.

In fact, only 40% or so of American citizens own guns. But of those who own guns, most own more than one gun.

I'm not against gun ownership per se, nor are most Americans. I am, however, pro responsible gun ownership, as are most Americans. The trouble is that gun ownership is now seen as a badge of Republican virtue.

The USA isn't nearly as terrible as it's made out to be. Gerrymandering has seen the rise of extreme politics and is a component of the inability to pass gun legislation.

if i lived in a place where i thought i need a gun for my own protection,i think i would move, its a scary thought ,but im living in a place where thankfully i've only ever seen 1 gun in my life(except on the police)

If there is no malicious intent, then it must do, surely.
Just an incident from a few years back that popped into my head reading the post. I'd see it as manslaughter minimum from the toddler's guardian(s) personally, although I'm reasonably sure in the incident I recall the toddler shot their own mother. Suppose that would be suicide or death by misadventure then.

There’s the criminal age of responsibility to consider if we’re going to go legal geek on the question.

If you are against gun control then you can't really complain if you or someone you love ends up dead in a mass shooting.
However much you try to somehow blame liberals or whatever. Like you blamed Antifa for January 6th you childish mardarse.

You made your bed so fuckin lie in it.
