I think the opposite. I think we’ll come flying out the blocks similar to the Arsenal game and if we can get an early goal we’ll punish them for another and control the 2nd half. I think the first 20 mins at the Etihad is a real opportunity for us to hit them hard before they settle into the game - we’d be silly to not try and capitalise on that.

There's gonna be a lot of day trippers, neutrals and possibly even Real Madrid fans at this game in the City end. It means we will need to do more to make an atmosphere (well done City) but its 100% required in this game. I know Real aren't amazing now, but they weren't last season either and this is in their DNA to rise to the occasion. We have to push the lads through, i think it will be tight game tbh.

I’m not sure where all this concern about tiredness comes in , they are all highly trained athletes physically and mentally tuned to the highest degree ,they are professionals, they are up for it !!
There are no weak links , a Captain who leads by example, they are a team of team players,

Real are not consistent, they can't compete with us over 38 games. But they are highly dangerous in the CL, for they don't need consistency over many games there. Their top level is such that they can do damage anywhere, as their recent big wins at Anfield and Camp Nou have shown. They are the only team in the world that can match us technique wise.

City can be truly exceptional at home though. Thus a big win is definitely possible. I'd take a 2:1 win, though. No need to be greedy :)

Nah, let's be greedy and punish these lucky muppets. They got away with murder last CL semi, been found out domestically, kicked us all over the bernabent. Im feeling very very greedy.
