not sure it's deservedI hope that Phillips gets some decent game-time along with Gomez before the season ends..

How would you know ?Only Pep and his coaches could possibly know what he deserves.not sure it's deserved
His lack of game time in the last 2 months tells me that Pep feels very much the same. How would you know ?Only Pep and his coaches could possibly know what he deserves.
Assuming gundogan and Bernardo stay that's Fair, but I would say send Palmer on loan - mcatee then gets the minutes he should have got (if not more).I'd like Jude, but I personally don't even care who it is, I trust the board.
I'm of the mind if both Gundogan and Bernie stay, then promoting McAtee and Bobb as understudies for a year is a pretty safe bet to make. Hard to sign a big name attacker if nobody leaves imo.
See how they do in limited game time, say like 1000-1200 mins for the season to give them rest.
If both are looking very good, then amazing, double succession plan solved.
If only one looks good, then that's great, we have a succession for 1 player, can sign a high profile player for the other.
If neither look good enough, then that means in 2 years we simply have to fund to high profile signings.
No, it tells us Pep doesn’t think he’s ready to risk playing instead of Rodri on a run in we had to win every game. Tells us nothing about how he’s improving or not in training, his workrate in training, his attitude around the squad in training, whether Pep thinks he’s starting to get what’s required. So no you have no idea what Pep thinks he deserves over the next 3 games.Maybe we’ll find out this week. His lack of game time in the last 2 months tells me that Pep feels very much the same.

Another thing you know for certain what Peps thinking is it ? Wouldn’t surprise me either way, can’t say I claim to know what either Pep or Phillips are thinking. He won't be at the club next season.
Pep is currently mulling over todays team selection.Another thing you know for certain what Peps thinking is it ? Wouldn’t surprise me either way, can’t say I claim to know what either Pep or Phillips are thinking.
Think once it gets to the business end of the season Pep does not take chances with individuals. He sticks to a small pool of players he trusts to hold it together and get the job done. Phillips never got the early season chances to prove he could do a job and was either average or poor in the small cameos he did get. Was telling us there have been no sympathetic words about impressing in training and getting a chance next year so am leaning towards your view that he will be sold as soon as a reasonable offer comes in (if it does!!). Can see us targeting Rice as it would allow us to stick to same system with Rice becoming centre half / midfielder and the rotation would be between Rodri/Rice/Stones.He won't be at the club next season.
Kovacic for 50m would have me very uninterested, especially as it's looking likely that Gundogan will stay.Kovacic going for 50 million can see why we are interested.
can he play left back and false 9Just to go off on a tangent……Phil Jones leaving the rags.
could we fit him in?
All that experience of playing at the top level shouldn’t be wasted.
Kovacic going for 50 million can see why we are interested.
Mahrez is a must keep but de Bruyne isn't? You're a maverickWe have 5 players over 30.
Carson. Not sure he counts so no point in replacing.
Walker. I would have been all for him being replaced at the end of this season but he has proved me wrong once again.
KDB. Still one of if not the best players on the world. Shudder at the thought.
Gundogan. Surely he must be kept given his importance to our attack.
Mahrez. Seems like the only one that is not a must keep. He is awesome and Cole hasn't looked good enough to replace him. Foden has though and maybe Alvarez or McAtee or some exciting attacking signing.
He’s very good as a false CBcan he play left back and false 9

Not so sure here, he has shown nothing at all, the likes of Ake and Grealish were underwhelming to start but Phillips looks way, way off our level. But as with many players before him there is always an opportunity to impress and get back in the fold...
