Champions League Final | Ticket Criteria | SOLD OUT

On the FCO website, it states (and this has nothing to do with the football) people should carry their passport with them at all times and police have been known to do stop checks.

Just sayin'

Yep, completely agree. Cup Scheme sales Day 1, and if preexisting EOI numbers suggest that it won't sell out on Day 2 to Seasoncard holders, then at COP on Day 1 the club should request EOI's from Members to be collected during during Day 2 to allow Members to purchase on Day 3.
I think it will get well beyond that. I think we need to get to open sale quick so that our newer fans around the world have a chance to take up then slack.

Lots of talk on line that passport numbers are needed to be entered when buying a match ticket. checks then at the stadium that ticket details match your passport.. possibly need to factor this in and getting to the stadium at an early time
Just checked UEFA site to be certain. Fan zones open even earlier than I initially thought. It is actually 8 hours (2pm Local), with UEFA advice that all fans arrive by 6pm. Gates into stadium open at 6pm. Fan zones are fenced with ticket checks and ID, whether checked or not, must be carried.

It's interesting that on the City day trip the first flight leaves at 5.30am but they state there is not time to get to Istanbul. You will be bussed to the ground.
I can only think that is for passport/ticket checks. Otherwise how is there not time to go into Istanbul.

How many blues do we think will be in Istanbul (with and without tickets) ?

My mate who works at the club predicts there will be as many as 30,000 blues that make the trip. Who said we have no fans ?
To add to this, most blues I've seen online are going to be staying right in downtown of Istanbul; however, myself and some others that I know are going to stay in and around Basaksehir, much closer to the stadium and near the mall they've got there. Be interested to know if any other blues will be following suit just so the pubs aren't full of Inter fans in the area haha

That’s ridiculous and sounds like an awful trip. So I’m guessing they’ll land at about 10:30pm, once you’ve cleared immigration and got on your coach at should be around midday. You have to spend 10 hours around the ground?!

Pretty sure it mentions on the booking that if arrival is before 1pm you will have the option of travelling to the fan zone in central Istanbul.

Be too much of a logistical problem I reckon, dropping coach loads off in Istanbul then having to gather everyone up and to the stadium.
It’s a here is the stadium see you after the match job.

Unfortunately I'm on that first flight , my lad's work wouldn't let him have the Friday off ,and that was all that was left.
The itinerary from Sportsworld says that flights landing before 1pm ,will be taken to the City Centre to the UEFA Festival ,after 1pm they will be taken to the City fan zone at the stadium .

That flight will land in Istanbul (if it’s on time) at around 11:30am local time. I’d imagine immigration might be a zoo and it may be up to another couple of hours before everyone is out of the airport.
By then it’s only four hours or so before UEFA wants people at the stadium fan zone. Istanbul is a sprawling metropolis and both airports are a long way out - as is the stadium - and so doesn’t leave much time to head into the city.

They wouldn’t land until 11:30am and then by the time you’ve got through the airport and everyone on to the coaches, it’s probably 1 hour into Istanbul so you might not arrive there until 1:30, then it’s going to be an hour or so back out to the stadium. The fan parks open from 2pm and UEFA state getting to the ground early.

The only thing I don’t understand with the day trip selling so quick is it must be full of people who are almost guaranteed a ticket, otherwise you can’t go to the fan park without a valid ticket.
Somebody half suggested that people without tickets on official trips some how end up with tickets but I can’t see that being true can it?

The Club made a mess of the ticket advice they issued. They told all season card holder to get access codes and the following day said anyone with an access code was excluded from applying through the OSC. It might have just been a cock up or misunderstanding or a tactic to get more tickets to sponsors / corporates. I buy off my own points but shifting the goal posts so late in the day will probably result in a larger share of OSC allocations going to non season card / low points holders that isn't h

or they could return them so more ST holders get a chance ;o)

Any thoughts?
I quite like the legacy points idea, but selfie requirement probably wouldn't go down well! Ultimately I can't see the club wanting to deal with the hassle of a new points system they have to enforce – current scenario doesn't require that much effort on their part

They know that 20k+ tickets means there are plenty. Honestly. Stop worrying about it!

Was that info passed on from the club directly to branches as original info on the OS said everyone had to apply for an access code but it didn’t guarantee a ticket. Still unsure why OSC members are allowed to bypass the system on this and many other occasion. Not after an argument but genuinely interested in why branches were getting a slice of the allocation this match in what would appear to be in a different way to SC holders

One of the points of getting the Official Trips is that if you don’t get a Ticket you don’t go and don’t lose any money as I understand it -but maybe that’s for a big standard European Away and not the CL Final!
