I've just watched this, I know it is The Athletic and people here generally don't like Sam Lee, but I think he's been very correct in giving his journalistic opinion about those stupid PL charges and how they are debated on social media in particular. Chappy as a moderator doesn't stir shit up, but this other fella, I have no clue who he is, is just not having it and we are already guilty in his book.

I disliked Sam lee for ages.. but the more I listen to him and his podcasts - why always us and now let him talk I actually don’t mind the guy. I can understand why he isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but the fact he renounced his support of united a few weeks ago was also a bonus. I think he’s genuinely an admirer now of pep and city and regardless of whether I agree with everything he says I don’t think he’s a knob like some other journalists who are on this thread often or that he’s trying to stir shit

If MCFC win the treble this season it will Eclipse the rags treble in 1999 for three reasons.

1) it will be a crescendo of winning three back-to-back premier league titles. (with the potential of going onto winning four in a row)

2) MCFC are the only premier league team to win the domestic treble (under the same manager).

3) MCFC are the only premier league team to accumulate one hundred points in a thirty eight game season (under the same manager).

Compare what Pep Gaurdiola is doing at MCFC to what that fucker did at swamp and all of a sudden, the pisscan looks bang average (when you factor in his longevity and the resources he had at his disposal).

In nearly 27 years Alex Ferguson won 13 PL. In 7 years pep has won 5 PL
Looks like he's got a lot on his mind there. Quite disturbing actually.

He’s feeling the pressure because as a manager he’s as good as his brother which is utter shite.

What's all that about?

After the tidal wave of shit that we have seen since Sunday this article is, albeit short, a breath of fresh air

Simon is a City fan of course. No neutral would write that.

Do you have to pay to listen to his podcasts now? I thought all the athletic pods were a free listen (?)
