They were fixated on the number of touches made by Haaland until he made two fantastic defensive headers in his own box and the narrative didn't work any more. Why do these TV pundits always look for negative angles instead of just reporting fairly on what is the world's greatest sport. I thought Carragher was terrible last night. The "poor old Chelsea" financial narrative was absurd given they have spent more than us on their squad.
Spent over a quarter of a billion last summer alone

Funny you should think that as I have a small tale about the reporters covering City. A few years ago we played Juventus and the plane was due to leave after the game. For reasons I cant remember our plane had to wait to the following day. City arranged for everybody to get back to Turin and laid on a meal in a restaurant. I was sat at a long table with all the reporters, next to Simon Mullock who I had a good chat with. The others all looked as though it was an insult to them that a fan was sat amongst them and avoided all eye contact and I think if I had tried to talk to them they would have ignored me anyway. They came across as arrogant snobs, now it could just be me they didn't like, its happened before once or twice or even more than that. ;-)
But I agree with your post, with the exception of Simon Mullock, horrible people.
Was it the 2010 Europa dead rubber that we played at Torino's ground?

Stranded in Italy, then Paris finally getting home by train, boat and car 2 days later due to a snow storm............

Connor McNamara on the other hand said that we'd won on our last 4 visits to Stamford Bridge and not many teams do that. I know who I'd rather be listening to on commentary. Soon as I saw it was Tiresome & Spitty on comms for Sky I switched to an alternate stream.
McNamara is one of the very best broadcasters around tbf

Simon is absolutely sound, a good Ardwick lad

Jamie carragher on Sky Sports against Chelsea, "Man City have brought on £160m worth of subs to win the game". When we beat Liverpool in the Carabao they brought on Keita, Henderson, Oxlade -chamberlin, and fabinho, aggregate purchase price £153m, and still lost the game. I don't recall their cost being mentioned...because only City buy players apparently.

That irritating SKY anchor/Presenter trying to get utd into every point is doing my head in. They’ve had a nice easy run of fixtures. Fulham, Wolves, Forest & Bournemouth ffs.
Keane just said the same…. Shot the wanchor guy on itv right down

To be fair, that was all Coutinho money so you know, net spend and all that
