In my eyes is completely unusual.

That was the safe thing to do back then. If they'd have dropped you off at the church for Sunday school then I'd have been concerned.

I am expecting a pile on but this was what happened in the sixties and seventies , we just didnt expect a murdering paedo to take us away then, it is a modern thing to have to know where your kids are 24/7 and be bent double worrying someone will take them

I wouldnt have personally left three tiny kids alone anywhere, i guess they had done it before and thought checking often had been ok before so did it again . Yes they were in the wrong but the person who stalked and took maddie is the one we should be hating on the most

Probably because all the murdering pedos were presenting kids tv.

There wasnt enough time to do anything like that or evidence of that happening , the police botched it from min one and tried to turn the attention onto the parents in a bid to direct it away from them, they didnt look for maddie , hope they are ashamed

I hope they can put an end to this for everyone’s sake. Those two however through their own selfishness and neglect contributed to the child’s disappearance. And you know what ? They’ve never held their hand up and admitted any wrongdoing in all of this. Even after all this time. If this was a working class couple from the backstreets they would have been ostracised on their return to the U.K., but most people now are fed up listening to Kate and Gerry. And that’s the kindest thing I can say about them. My true feelings on this couple would get me most likely banned on here.

They left their children alone to go on the piss.. I’ve got absolutely zero sympathy for them

Had they been two average Joe’s instead of two highly educated people they’d have been hounded and castigated for what they did.. That’s indicative of a sad world for me

You dont think they have been hounded? Not sure what class has to do with it. Its a child.

It doesn't, does it.

It's 2 parents living through hell.
If it had been my kid I'd probably have topped myself long ago. Maybe one of them should have, to enable people who have no idea whatsover to somehow feel "better" about it.
"Justice" etc

They have twins that are younger than Maddie. I'm guessing but I bet that's part of the reason they keep on going.
