Champions League Final | Who’s NOT going to Istanbul?

I’m not. 1 week ago today I was speaking to my sisters boy, Tyler 20 years old, organising the trip and at 8.15 the next morning she rings me hysterical at work saying he isn’t breathing. He had suffered a cardiac arrest in bed and it took 3 crews of paramedics, the fire service and the air ambulance doctor over 90 mins of working on him to get him to North Manchester in an induced coma. Between that moment and Wednesday we honestly thought we would be saying goodbye to him, even the doctors didn’t hold out much hope but we got the miracle and he is now awake and talking to us.

It will be a long road to recovery but get well Tyler pal, my nephew and a fellow blue.

Huge thanks to all the first responders and staff at North Manchester who saved the lads life, heroes all of them.

Fantastic news he has made it and also the efforts from the medical staff.

Scary stuff, football means very little when things like this happen.

Me, I went to the Chelsea game but before that I went to the wolves game. I still have 2 season tickets for me and the wife but I won`t be renewing them unfortunately. It`s very sad as I went to my first match in 1957 at the age of 4 with my dad.
I started with Rheumatoid Arthritis in December that quite quickly got worse. It`s now making life quite difficult but I`ll be cheering from my sofa. I`m confident we can beat the rags and Inter. For those that are going, shout your lungs out for me and the wife, have a great time and come back safe.

Sorry to hear this. Life is so fragile.

Best wishes for a good and speedy recovery.

Decided early that the overall cost of going to this CL final were going to be ridiculous! Registered for a ticket code to see where we are in systems. Got nearly 18k points & to date no news. Absolute contempt for fans trying to make all the necessary arrangements. To be honest if it wasn't for the quality of City's football under Pep - I think we'd be looking at calling it a day!!

Applied with dad, brothers and cousins through supporters club branch. Got wind that 17 tickets requested, 17 confirmed. Started planning flights and hotel packages for £1500 each for Fri-Sun. Then got a phone call 2 hours later saying no dice. Person who applied for us sent the email request to the wrong address. Gutted. So booked 13 of us in for the fan park at Love Factory in Dantzic Street. And it's my birthday on the night. Hopefully be decent atmosphere in there!! And a few bob saved. Easy come, easy go.

I will be on my stag do, incredibly unfortunate timing but it was booked months ago and I just never even considered the dates. So will be watching it with my mates in a yet unknown location!
Stag dos on CL final weekends always a good coincidence i've found. Just make sure you can remember it!

Really glad they were able to bring him back, but there is a really good chance he'll be fine @blueinsa . There is a lot of support out there to cope with the challenges and to come to terms with what's just happened to him. There is a Sudden Cardiac Arrest charity with a Facebook presence where there are people of all ages, not just FOC's.

He'll be paying his full price season ticket soon enough - or your Sis will!

bloody hell mate that is awful. Wishing you all the best and him a speedy recovery.

Pep will do something silly , i will watch at home hoping but not expecting anything , might get the baileys out
I really hope he doesn’t. He even mentioned himself that he’s not over thinking things. Though he did have a wry smile.
If they do Baileys in Istanbul I might need a quick one before the line ups are announced.
